The manga was originally about several different kinds of games with Bakura as the villain and then Duel Monsters ended up being really popular IIRC and it ended up being the bigger part of the manga. They eventually just stuck to it. It has an interesting concept and I like the darker tone, especially with Atem. The opening is also pretty damn sick. Bakura I think only appeared in one story arc before the card games took off (along with Kaiba becoming a more prominent character; he was a one-shot villain with the card game motif while Bakura was the RPG guy (the story was adapted for Duel Monsters)) --- I will rule the world, and find that truly good cup of coffee. <cite>Amakusa posted [p:980182386] in started wa...
