I used it as a starting point and winged it. Feel like if I followed all that advice I would be downing an entire bottle of protein shake mix a day and in the hospital every other week.

An obese friend of mine has been having success following someone going by Mulligains(Mulligainz? Unsure on the spelling but I think he says a z) and is doing well. Disclaimer being I've never checked him out aside from what I've been shown so I can't say if he gets in to any weird shit, but my friend lost about 50lbs over the past six months and, though slow going, seems to be doing really well for themselves.

As a formerly obese person, my advice is don't be ashamed to take it slow and listen to yourself. That doesn't mean give yourself shit for everything not going perfectly either. Stay in a good headspace, realize setbacks will happen on the path, and keep on trucking.

If this is strictly for lifting, dunno much. I do as little as possible to stay healthy, never cared much for it.
