You mean like Goku just sorta having SSJ3 in Buu saga with no explanation other than "Oh yeah I trained for it while in the Otherworld"?

Or how self-destructing somehow managed not to explode the vital piece to keeping Cell alive since his super-regeneration is based on Namekian regeneration and SHOULD HAVE Followed the same logic?

Or maybe how Gohan managed to go Oozaru after randomly regaining his tail?

DB has always ran on the rule of cool without any foreshadowing or explanation. Just whatever seems coolest/more fun at the time. People are just silly about this for no real reason.

I can ignore ssj3, as Goku would train those 7 years

cell is a writing mistake easily, as he has a core that should been destroyed by Goku with the instant kamehameha. That fight should been much more than it was in general for Gohan, it felt like for a passing of the torch, it didnt show Gohan as ready for that task.

Gohan isnt an asspull. Its known tails grow back when young (gokus grew back after being removed as a child, not as an adult) and Vegeta put up the full moon for him.

I can see the mystic water as a pull for sure, but it was designed to put Goku out of the picture so Tien and Roshi could shine a while. honestly its the only asspull I can recall in OG.

Z had build up mostly or training time to justify the jumps. Super never built up anything, honestly blue shouldnt have happened, stay at god form for a good while.
