Not at all, but you might benefit more from using one of the online learning services like Brilliant where you can start at the basics and work at your own pace rather than jumping straight into a structured learning environment you're obviously not ready for. It might be best to drop that class now if you can and try it again after a few months of prep. No one likes to admit they need remedial help but it beats slamming your face into a wall and quitting.
I'm doing that with the Kahn Academy app and it has been helpful. I learned how to divide. Thing is, I can learn (some) math and do it that moment, but I'll forget it all the very next day. Basically I just have to keep very specific notes that are written in a way I understand so if I ever need to do it I can just check there. But tbh I have never once needed to apply anything other than very basic math in my life. I think it's crazy how hard they try to push math on everyone (I'm just in graphic design? hello???) and all the math teachers I had from middle school onwards acted like if you couldn't do math you might as well just kill yourself. Like you just won't even be able to live without their level of math skills. It definitely didn't help my anxiety surrounding math. It's weird that I've noticed that in math teachers and so has my family. It's probably a personality thing in the brain connected to the fact they're good at math. Kinda like how doctors tend to be assholes and politicians tend to be psychopaths. I remember reading about this kinda thing in HS psychology class...which I fucking aced btw
