The games come out just under 6 days in Japan, and we know almost nothing of the plot of the game.

Here's a short summary of some of the stuff we know so far:

- Takes place in the Unova region 2 years after the events of B/W. New playable characters, new rival, a couple of new gym leaders.

- New locations: Aspertia City is where the player starts his / her adventure. Virbank City is the city where Homika has her gym. Sangi Forest is a forest connected with Keldeo / Cobalion / Terrakion / Virizion.

- Gym Leaders are Cheren [Normal], Homika [Poison], Burgh [Bug], Elesa [Electric], Clay [Ground], Skyla [Flying], Shizui [Water], Drayden [Dragon]. It is currently unknown if Iris returns as a version exclusive gym leader, but so far it's not likely.

- New formes for some legendary Pokemon: Tornadus / Thundurus / Landorus [Sacred Beast Forme], Kyurem [Black Kyurem / White Kyurem], Keldeo [Resolution Forme]

- Pokemon World Tournament is a tournament where you can battle past gym leaders and champions. Pokewood is the Pokemon Musical replacement, where the player can participate in Pokemon movies. Poketransfer makes a return from B/W.

- Fes Missions are a type of missions that can be accessed in the Extralink, once completed the player will get a reward. Join Avenue lets you connect with people over Wi-Fi / Wireless / C-Gear / Infrared to open up shops in a market, where specialized items with rare effects can be bought. Medals are some sort of accomplishment system.

As for what we know of the plot, Team Plasma has seperated into two teams (Team Plasma & New Team Plasma). New character, Akuroma, is apparently connected to Team Plasma. N's location is unknown to the old Team Plasma members and sages, though it is confirmed N (along with Zekrom / Reshiram) will confront Ghetsis (who is apparently controlling Kyurem) at some point in the game. Cheren is now a gym leader, Bianca is Professor Juniper's assistant, and Alder will make a return.

But it seems like he'll have more plot relevance than just being the first gym leader. He doesn't even seem to have a gym. Maybe we'll be battling him more than once throughout the game.

It has connectivity with that AR game and the Pokedex app, but you have to pay extra for both of those. I'm not sure if they've revealed anything else (besides maybe video chat which I think was a DSi feature for B/W).

Personally I think they should bring back the Pokewalker, but as a free 3DS app. The 3DS has a pedometer and Streetpass, so it would be perfect.

They're releasing a new Pokedex that has all of the Pokemon in it.
The AR game is some Dream Radar thing where you use the cameras to "find" Pokemon in the real world.

I know the Dream Radar thing costs extra and you can find the alternate form(e)s for the Kami trio in it. I *think* I remember seeing a Japanese price for the Pokedex upgrade but I don't know if it'll cost anything here.

I think the most likely candidate might be Marshal, since he was mentioned as being Alder's personal apprentice... though I guess N is a possibility.

I though B/W happens at the same time as Gen 1, so around this time 2 years later, wouldn't he be hiding in a cave somewhere?

I think I would rather have him hiding in Challenger's Cave. Seems more like him to do that than be champion.

Challenger's Cave was removed from the Unova region map, so it's likely it won't return.
I mean, what did that cave even have in B/W? I didn't even bother going in it.

All it had were a bunch of high-level trainers, Pokemon from previous generations, and the Stone Edge TM and other assorted items. You could've stuck Stone Edge somewhere else, removed the cave and nothing of value would have been lost.

It didn't have Axew. The only Pokemon you could catch in there that was worth something was Riolu. It doesn't help that most of them were added to the Dream World and their Dream World ability is better.

So Gen V Pokemon will be appearing in the Dream World now if you're syncing with BW2. That's pretty cool, and it was kind of already confirmed in one of the trailers (one showed a Minccino in the Entree Forest). I just hope they're being added to the pre-existing areas as well as the new one.

Also, the cover of the B/W2 guidebook was what revealed all eight gym leaders. But there's also this:

Update: An image from the inside of the guidebook shows a modified type-effectiveness chart in B2W2. According to the chart provided by the guidebook, Ghost-type Pokémon are no longer resistant to Bug-type moves. Note that this could simply be an error in the guidebook itself.

I just don't want for the plot to be completed pre-league.

It would be awesome if it happened post-league, in a new sevii-like region. That would explain the boat where New Team Plasma ambushes the player, rival, and Cheren.

Yeah that's also something I've been wanting the Pokemon games to do for yeaaaaars.

Pokemon B/W was a step in the right direction with the whole thing with Team Plasma usurping the League. That was pretty cool IMO.

We still don't know where that underwater tunnel goes, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to Undella Town.

Until reading that, I didn't even think of the possibility that Shizui's gym could be there or that we could be going there before the League.
