I am more surprised that 00 is keeping it this close with being this disadvantaged with it's match pic, in a fair representation it is the stronger year by the looks of it, whether it can still win with such a disadvantage is another question, looks to be a good and conversational match

I didn't say I thought 2000 would crush this, I just didn't think the match would ever really be in question. You can have a fairly close match without having much doubt in the eventual winner!

Pokemon gold /silver is in the same year so this performance is a bit pathetic from 2000. 96 was a pretty garbage year tbh bat mario 64.

I was really hoping that 2000 would have built up at least a little bit of a lead by now, but the East Coast should be waking up soon which'll probably put a nail in 2000's coffin.

With this being a weekend match, the morning vote starts a little bit later than usual compared to a weekday match. I'm not expecting the morning vote until about 7:30 AM EST.

Based on current Geolocation results, it looks bad for 2000 since 1996 has about 52% in the US. 2000 would expect to get buried when the morning vote kicks in, unless of course the US morning vote starts trending towards 2000 instead.

I think SM64 would beat MM in a 1v1 now. MM's strength now compared to 2009 is crazy. But judging from todays poll SM64 would comfortably handle .

Also OoT being in any poll distorts everything tbh. It's an absolute Monster of a game that just saps the crap out of everything Nintendo. It's got to a point where non Nintendo games of mediocre stature are going to do a higher % on OoT than strong tier Nintendo games.

I have no idea what to expect from trends. SMRPG is an early monster, FF9 and RE are night beasts and Mario/Zelda are day vote gods.

The 6:00 update on the updater is a fake update. The real update is actually the 6:01 update, so that would be an 8 vote gain.

Generally, you can tell the fake updates apart by looking at their total votes compared to the previous update. The 5:55 update had 4906 votes, while the 6:00 update had 4915 votes. There's no way that we would only receive 9 votes over the course of a normal 5 minute update unless it was caused by GameFAQs downtime.

I think we should do away with tthese pictures and just have a list of games in writing.

Top 10 games for each year listed vertically vs the other.
That way it will be a fair fight. Boring yes but that should have been done for the First round. After that you can start doing pictures

I also think Box arts for games should be put in as well

Have 4 box arts for each year. pick the strongest ones for each year.
