My headcanon is that all Pokemon always die. The parents just lie to the kids to spare their feelings. They tell them the Pokemon have "fainted" and need to be taken to the Pokemon center (clearly a vet hospital) for "healing".

Then the adults just swap a new Pokemon into your ball and get rid of the corpse, the same way parents replace a little kid's pet goldfish. Kids are too stupid to know the difference!

Not that I think most kids would care anyway. They're living in a world where the #1 child pastime is wandering around the countryside unwatched and engaging in magical monster cock fighting. Empathy likely isn't a skill anyone in that world develops in their youth.

I believe its because your sentence was read as a long sentence rather than two. Mainly because there was no punctuation. So, with a period after Misty, its become two sentences that make sense.

What he means is that there was a manga adaptation of the anime (I put quotes because its a super loose adaptation) where all of the girls had giant titties. Misty had a very out of place bath scene where she even talks about how big they are with Pikachu. Im not kidding.

Adventures is a different manga adaptation of the games. Its... fine. It gets stupidly edgy sometimes Zinnia gets impales straight through by Rayquazas tail and then Hyper Beamed right there, Ruby (the male protagonist from RSE) gets the shit beat out of him by his dad because he wants to do contests instead of battling, while also being a little effeminate and... it comes out just as bad as Im making it sound and it rose quite a few eyebrows, uh... Green/Blue gets her shirt ripped open during a fight with Sabrina (whos evil and in Team Rocket for some reason)...

Its fine.

Its my least favorite Pokmon Manga.

Diamond and Pearl Adventure was legitimately good though. I have the whole series of manga back at my old house. Never got too edgy, but the stakes were always realistically high enough to keep your investment, and the main character was great, even if he was just a little kid surrounded by teenagers.

Electric Tale of Pikachu is really interesting in its own right because it comes from a time before Pokmon really solidified itself as a brand, so adaptations were able to do whatever the fuck it wanted, which we didnt get for a looooooooong time until ~2011 when we got ReBurst, which was... a thing.

It was basically Digimon Frontier where the cast transformed into Pokmon and fought, but... captured Pokmon were still a thing? There was a lot less fan service too, but most of the female cast had huge tits, and the ones who didnt show it had lots of promotional art of them in bikinis.

That one didnt last very long.

I could literally go on and on about Pokemons different adaptations, because it was weirdly my thing when I was 15, but nobody wants to read 20+ posts about why Adventures is a hacky manga and why it shouldnt still exist when we had stuff like Diamond and Pearl Adventure, or how it seemingly drags plotpoints and villains forEVER, but I havent kept up with the series in any serious capacity in yeeeeeeaaarrrrssss, so my info is probably outdated.

Manga readers, did Surd eventually even do anything at all? I remember her having a thing during the Diamond and Pearl arc of Adventures (the names are probably getting confusing) but I dont remember reading anything about her after Black and Whites arc, which I didnt read.

If you want classic Japanese gags, the Clefairy one is still around in the old parts of the internet.

Nah, its essentially the story of Diamond and Pearl but with a rambunctious kid as a main character (hes not actually annoying though), and his Dawn is a hot woman with a checkered past. It has all the melodrama you would expect out of anime, but I remember it being super palatable, and it was fun seeing the lead catch legendaries and then eventually use actual competitive strats (gimmicky ones, but still) in his fights.

I just really like it, okay?!
