Todd Howard's own hype for ES6 is off putting.

He close to literally said "We're mad there were not paid mods and lootboxes in Fallout 4 and Skyrim"

And his defense of Fallout 76 was literally "IT doesn't matter if the game is shit on launch, only thing that matters is if we eventually fix it"

I kinda can't be excited for this anymore.

The only real concern if this game takes years from now to finish then nobody is going to remember the previous controversy anymore unless that next new generation coming up wants to listen to what we have to say. Though is all speculation and there is no telling Bethesda will make it that far.

Because it's going to take that long for people to beat the game. Not because the games that long but because they keep restarting every time they get to level 5 with a new build in mind after they realized they fell back into the easy mode cheese strategy.

Me neither, I think we can all agree Skyrim was the final one from whatever legitimate developers was working over there at the time.

Also their combat has not evolved any at all, and that was my main complaint with Morrowind.

Just hit the target, no strat involved at all. Elder Scrolls Online somewhat tried to mix it up, but the enemies are so pathetic.

Skyrim made some half-hearted attempt, but it was still boring sometimes.

There will be only three major cities in whatever province(s) ES6 takes place in. Each major city will have a Store, an Inn, a Lord's Castle, and three NPC homes. The engine will only be able to support 10 active NPCs in any given cell (this is mostly because buried beneath the ground there's upwards of 30 unused buildings they didn't bother to delete).

But it will all look glorious.
