Misread the poll and voted The Last Jedi - thought the poll was without ESB and RotJ. RotJ is my favourite overall, I think. It's close with ESB. But TLJ (and Rogue One) are both better than ANH in my book.

Return of the Jedi is about as good as the first movie, and then you have a fairly massive drop-off in quality after that. I need to see The Force Awakens again to verify since I haven't seen it since it came out.

Jedi. The last 20 minutes or so might be the best snippet of Star Wars alone. Ya the rest of the movie is a bit lower than ANH and ESB, but whatever.

I am a big Last Jedi fan because I super love the Luke stuff in the movie, it's just so funny and relatable to me. I also generally like stories that break conventions just for the sake of it, for example, I loved that Rey had no parents--I despise that trope of characters being surprise-related to each other, and I blame Empire for popularizing it. I also really like that red throne room scene visually. ...Then there's some other stuff in the movie that I don't care about, but that's true of all movies because I hate movies anyway.
Next is probably Force Awakens which has a long list of fun stuff, everything with Han, everything on Jakku. Also, a lot of cool music stuff going on I think? And then the rest of the movie I don't care that much for. Return of the Jedi's first 45 minutes are exciting as hell, and then I pretty much despise the rest, even Vader's redemption feels a bit cheap to me, and I find most of the endor parts and outer space parts hilariously boring. Also _another_ two characters are related?? Ugh. Then Rogue One I guess was all right, although I barely remember it. Then Rise of Skywalker I somehow remember even less of, I think it put all its energy into resolving the trilogy or something. Or spent too much time undoing stuff Last Jedi did. Finally, the prequel trilogy is absolutely unwatchable IMO, in fact I literally haven't watched III because I care so little. (Also for the record, I like New Hope best by far, and I don't like ESB, but those are off topic.) --- People who don't finish their sentences I'm a Castlevania superfan! Ask me anything! ... I mean if you were to put all nine mainline movies into a poll, VI would finish 2nd, so of course it dominates if you take out the one movie it would lose to.
