Its not even that long! Its not even an inch!

I have an interview tomorrow. Im not planning on leaving my current job, but I want to see what this new group offers me. As soon as I told my mom about it (idk why I did that) I got texts from both my sister and dad about what to ask the barber to do.

My hairs maybe barely been longer than this at its longest.

They dont want people with long hair working for them.

They dont even know the company!

Not even an inch? Yeah, that's...not long. Unless you're interviewing somewhere that only allows bald people?

Theyre just crazy, and its partially my fault for even telling them I have stuff coming up, and even more for just going along with it at the end of the day.

But Id prefer this to getting like 12 texts each from 4 different people about how I need to look professional.

lol, worrying about hair length or tattoos for job hiring is such 1950's mentality. Also, there's a worker shortage, so....

I had long hair and yeah most folk seemed to care more about it than I did when it came to "looking smart" so I just cut it off. It grows back so I don't care. It reality though long haired guys can look just as smart as short haired guys. Same when it comes to facial hair. Just do you.

I'm currently in the process of giving myself a haircut.

Slowly

Over weeks.

That way I can't cause major damage/mess my hair up much, and I just basically cut off the spikey bits that stand out etc. Seems to be working well so far.

Not sure why I spent $20 a pop every few months for my whole life when I coulda just done this.

Oh well

That was a good 30 years of haircuts, maybe average 1 every 3 months or 4 times a year....so 120 haircuts at $20 (just always paid 20 including the tip, and have not gotten one for long enough that that still included a tip).

That is $2400 wasted. I always would get a haircut right before a date or a job interview etc, because my hair never looks as good as right after getting a cut.

Probably was still worth it, but $2400 is alot as well.
