ok so first off its extremely low budget. robocop is the only character that looks any good. the environments are plain but super good looking

the gunplay is surprisingly robust. u can somewhat customize ur guns effects. there is a decently cool skill tree with some really neat unlocks

the game has branching side-stories, not sure why. i guess they want you to be able to choose how human robocop still is

lots and lots and lots of callbacks

it's immersive-sim-lite. somewhat open hub worlds u can find goodies and quests in. nothing very deep

game was a bit long. took me 40 hours or so (i walk everywhere), should be like 15-20 for the average player

anyway, AMA about the robocop game!

the game takes place after the second movie, and incorporates the events of both movies into the story

having seen them is not a requirement, however it will enhance ur experience

No it's quite literally in between 2 and 3, it ends with the Chinese company buying out Omni Consumer Products and the death of the boss or whatever. If anything it might set up a better 3 than we ever would have gotten.

Is the character model and voice based on Peter Weller (RC1 & RC2) or Robert Burke (RC3)?

I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was. I also can't remember the last time a FPS had a gun as enjoyable as the Auto 9. After customization the gun fucking rocked. The game is budget but also punching way above it's weight class.

Awesome gore, ridiculous body count, really nailed the Robocop vibe and walking tank feel. I thought it looked pretty great for the most part, and was a lot more content than I was expecting. Combat was way more sophisticated than I was expecting. Put the Devs on my radar in a major way.

it feels like a mostly lifeless game map, but also a decent recreation of a few city blocks

there are actually several maps. the main story parts of each level are fairly linear, with lots of options to explore

it feels gamey

Robocop or resistance? Neither of them I'd recommend on gameplay alone but terminator is a bit more rough to play. Certainly not perfect games but the atmosphere is certainly a selling point for me in games and those two have the story atmosphere down.

Yeah I think they improved the gameplay alot with robocop. Terminator I pushed through and I'm so glad I did because it's the only other Terminator story I might consider canon after the first 2 movies. Sucks you didn't like it but I don't blame you.

To be fair I haven't put enough time into it, I think I might have burnt out on RoboCop before diving right into Terminator. I think I'm only in that first larger area and perhaps starting on a hard difficulty was a bad idea as things really mess you up. I miss the walking tank aspect :(

Yeah when it first came out normal was to easy and hard was the way to play but I think they adjusted the difficulty. Once you start getting laser weapons and get the ability to actually fight terminators it gets less survival and more fighting.

Honestly don't know why they allowed you to use other guns, the Auto-9 is overpowered BEFORE you start collecting PCBs.

but yeah, it's low budget and janky but it was a fun game. I platinum'd it a couple days ago.

Can he get a multi-target lock-and-fire upgrade? :)

No but you can get a fully automatic infinite ammo no reload module going. Just turns it into a destroyer of worlds.

Actually I think you do get a scan upgrade but I didn't go for it. The game has a lot of surprising RPG-lite decisions to make and one tree focuses on that
