Is there a specific order to play them in? I played a bit of the original way back then, but didn't get too far. Now that I have all 3 on Epic for free, I'm wondering if I should play them in any specific order.

Actually, I wonder this, too... I have one of them (I don't know which one). And if I like it, I would like to know the order, if there is one...

I've only played shadowrun: hong king but it was a standalone story. I imagine they all are unless one of them is explicitly described as a sequel.

You're fine to play them in any order. Shadowrun Returns was by far a lesser entry compared to Dragonfall and Hong Kong, so keep that in mind.

This album is not available to the public.
Even if it were, you wouldn't wanna listen to it!

What do you mean lesser? Shorter, shittier, etc...?

Not as good, but now that you mention it, it's also considerably shorter.

I've only ever played the first one and not very much of it. You really need to be interested in the cyberpunk aesthetic. Couldn't get into it.

Sadly they both changed the shadowrun gamestyle/ruleset in later editions, and didn't do a great job making it into a video game this time. If you like tactics based games, you might like it, but the old games on the sNES and Sega systems were way better in my opion.

That being said I only played the first one and much like judgment, didn't get THAT far.

There is another shadowrun game as well, seperate from those 3, that is much more fun.

Its' called Shadowrun Chronicles and I did finish that one (more than once).

I plan on going back and trying to play Hong Kong as I heard it was the best sometime. I'm just not a huge fan of the tactic based combat in those games and that will remain the same. Lack of decking as well makes me sad and when I did try playing it, I just said screw it and went back and replayed the old Sega Shadowrun instead which even though it's older than dirt, was WAY more fun.

Why did they release different versions with different stories for each console? I only ever played the SNES one.

OMG you missed out, heck it's free online now, go play the sega version it was by far the best. Awesome decking in that one. Both games were good but almost everyone agrees the sega game is the best shadowrun game so far.
