Mead 04/29/21 11:47:30 PM #1:	This topic is REAL. It is just a very great movie all around. Ive probably seen it 20 times. A ton of amazing actors. Not just Leo and Kate but Kathy Bates and that Old dude that was in a bunch of things and is also in The Flash series. Ignore Billy Zane, he doesnt matter. I think a lot of guys instinctively kinda act like they dont like the movie or arent interested in watching it because for whatever reason it kinda adopted a reputation of being a chick movie or whatever. And thats probably because its a love story and it takes place in the middle of this big historic tragedy which I totally get is a dumb thing. But even despite that it manages to be a great film. I think it really holds up too. The movie is simply gorgeous visually and the effects still hold up and show just the enormity and scale of what is happening on screen. and I dont care what anyone say. It was, after-all, the highest-grossing movie for like what, 17 years or something like that?, replacing and behind only the original Star Wars for how long it held that title. New movies that have since replaced it at best-selling of all time like Avengers and Disney Star Wars (barf) have not lasted at the top spot and keep bumping each other off; Titanic's reign says something. The fact that the same guy who did Titanic also did Terminator 2, The Abyss, (and also that documentary about the deep underseas?) makes him something special, personally I like him more than Steven Spielberg.
