What I hate is when someone makes it their whole personality and everything is related to smoking weed or getting high.

i totally get how that can come across as obnoxious

sometimes I feel maybe I talk about it too much. But the truth is that I love talking about it and learning more about it. Its interesting to me in the way that the sheer size and scale of the universe is interesting to me.

I dont think young people should touch the stuff. But for me, I went through some real shit growing up. A lot of people do. It kinda turned me into an asshole when I was a young man.

Now that Im older, Its been a very useful tool to allow me to self reflect with a clarity that allows me to organize and pack up some of those memories so that Im not loudly dragging them around public spaces wrapped in a dirty bedsheet.

Its helping me learn how to stop worrying for a little while and actually enjoy life.

Good explanation. Its helps me forget about all the horse shit and just watch some YouTube for awhile. Its amazing that I can sit and not worry. I have terrible anxiety that my antidepressants just dont seem to help. Plus, Ive been losing people like crazy the last few years. Mom, both grandmas, mother in law, wifes aunt, wifes grandpa and a couple of pets in the past 4 years. Only one of them, my mom, to covid thankfully, but that is mostly because they were already gone.

Weed does this weird thing where I notice more. Even when Im playing halo or something, I can tell EXACTLY where my grenades are bouncing, my strafe is MUCH harder to predict, and Im just more relaxed while playing. Its like weed slows my brain to where I can concentrate a lil better. Plus, I have more FUN now.

so people who drink coffee should be arrested for DUI. this is an idiotic take, imo.

At a high level, sure, it's morally acceptable...much the same as drinking. It's mostly depends what you do while you're affected by it. If you're high as a kite don't drive around: that's not acceptable.

i interpreted what he meant based on what he said. what is "different" or "wrong" about interpreting "any" as any and "ever" as ever? why would I interpret that as something having exceptions, and even if I did, why would that be the correct interpretation? it should be obvious that he means the opposite of what he said?

I can't say I have any major issue with weed smokers providing people are not smoking it around kids or while looking after kids. It's no different to people who smoke cigarettes or vape to me. Although I will admit weed stinks the most. Still it should be legalised and regulated much like any other legal smoking products. It also can help people with medical problems. That's something I'm a advocate for as my sister who died of cancer at 26 tried it to help with the pain.

Its wrong because of context clues. And because of common sense. If you thrown both of those out, then you mr interpretation works. But if you use those, then your interpretation was wrong Its that simple And not counting caffeine wouldnt be the opposite of the words. The opposite of the words would be him counting nothing at all

You posted the definition like thats going to change literally anything. And it does not My point still stands. Common sense and context clues could be use to know that he was actually talking about thing like drugs and alcohol, and it caffeine And he doesnt have to correct himself. i didnt make an argument, i asked why you thought it was dangerous.

Living in a major city with smog is objectively more dangerous than smoking weed so i guess that should be federally illegal. drinking alcohol is objectively worse for your body than smoking any amount of weed. i guess that should be federally illegal too.

you cannot make a single argument for why marijuana should be considered dangerous and federally illegal without making the same argument for at least dozens of other things.
