Been off work waiting since the beginning of May. Been feeling privileged to have been able to afford so much time off.

Excited for my new job.

im going to the isle of may next month to see some puffins and hopefully dolphins, then im going to take some time off work and visit my folks for a couple of weeks

i dont have a start date. they told me it will take about 6-8 weeks to get my security clearance. Im moving from Los angeles to ventura, california

Damn that's a long time but makes sense. Do you need to do a drug test? Gov jobs usually do background checks and drug screens.

No. I wont be operating machinery so they wont be drug testing. Im debating whether or not i should smoke tonight lol

well Ive worked absolutely shit jobs my entire life for barely any money so its very nice to finally be doing something sort of meaningful for better pay. I also live with my dad right now so that helps lol

I am going to Bud Bay Cafe on Sunday for their Father's Day Brunch. Not to celebrate fathers day (my second least favorite holiday since my dad left when I was 2), but because they have all you can eat crab/ribeye steak and freshly squeezed OJ!!

I have felt soooo privileged to be able to do this. I have never been able to before having always lived paycheck to paycheck so it really felt nice to take a deserved break.

Congrats! I accepted a new job (doing the same thing pretty much) still with the USDA but its back in Virginia. Hopefully get a start date in the next month. Fuck Ohio.

That sucks it took like 6 months from the day I applied to my job till I started. Then 6 weeks of training but atleast you get paid for that. Sucked though cause I had to be away from home except weekends.

Had to come in various times to fill out paperwork had to go take a psyche evaluation and get my finger prints done.

Anyways to Jen. Well both of yall. Good luck on the jobs. Hope yall enjoy it cause that helps a lot. I'm so done with overtime. Working 71 hours a week but I like my job so I'm still able to drag my ass in and do all I can.

Im taking a sabbatical as well. Been off for two and a half weeks and not planning to return for another three. At the beach right now.

Hopefully I can start a new job soon, but the only places that have been calling me back recently are total scams that are like we can make you a manager in less than 6 months as long as you work hard and then it turns out to be some sales job that is rapidly expanding
