how tf do i unlocked this shit? Ive already tried sticking something in the little hole in the middle but i cant get it open :(

Take a wire hanger, and straighten the hook part. Insert it into the hole. Done.

Ive tried multiple things in the center hole and it wont unlock

If its a push lock, then a straightened wire hanger would work. If its a turn lock then I would try a mini screwdriver. Check above the doors on top of the framing though. Thats usually where a key is.

took entire fucking handle off with a screwdriver and it still wont open wtf

There should be like a little screw thing inside the hole you want to put the hanger or screwdriver in then you'll turn it

Why didn't you just ask the homeowners what they usually do? That couldn't have been the first time it happened and they probably had an easy fix. You don't have a design like that without it happening occasionally.

Now that the handle is off, you can either disengage the lock from the back, or push the other side of the knob out and turn the locking pall by hand.

just rotate the crescent part, or push through the other knob first, which should unlock it

That wooden part to the left of the handle is seperate, and covered with paint. Get a butter knife and slide it into the crease right by where the door handle is, it'll go through and let you open the door.

Shouldn't leave any evidence when your done either if it's a thin butter knife, worst case you gotta hammer the instert back in a bit.

Should be done in less then 10 seconds.

Anyway seriously I can get into doors with that kinda lock in 2 seconds with a butter knife. I've taught other people how to do it (roomates etc) because they locked themselves out of their rooms. It's super easy, anyone can do it, and it causes no damage at all.

Oh you can protect from this btw, you just need to hammer in 2 nails in front of where the handle is (so you can't easily slide a knife through the edge. Even doing that though you can slide the knife up from under or over the nails, but it would make it harder, and if someone doesn't know how it works etc, they might not try that.

But the door was still locked after you took the knob off.

And it only took two days.
