Inspired by the fact that I just made an appointment to get a sound diagnosed.

I'm a little apprehensive, the car is making a sound from the front end. Technically could've been 1,100 to actually fix what was wrong. Been having trouble starting car and it eventually led to it having a bunch of warning lights and having trouble accelerating almost stopping a couple of times in traffic.

Ended up being the starter, battery, and spark plug apparently.
Other cost was other maintenance i had been holding of on or was due.

I had a flat. I figured I needed a new tire. They pulled a hunk of metal out of my tire and sealed it, and sent me off with no charge.

Last fix was either my wife's driver side window or my brake light.
$25 for the window part on ebay. $3 for the brake light bulb. Fixed both of them myself so no labor cost.

I did just order four wheels for my wife's car. Shop quoted me $580 per wheel but I found a company on Amazon that sells replica OEM wheels for $237 a piece. Once they come in, I'll take them to the shop so they can install them. They quoted labor at about $145. Total will be ~$1,100 instead of the original ~$2500.

It cost me my car.

Basically, the engine ate itself apart.
A pilly went, and it just drilled into my engine.

Long story short, I wasn't able to keep up on it the way I had due to Covid life.
The Salt was going to get it eventually anyway. V_V

Ya, I will never forgive GM for buying them out, just to ruin them.

It was such a good car.

I still want to get another one, if I can find one in good shape..
I bought that one for $5000 and it lasted me quite a while, I can't say I didn't get my money's worth out of it.

Like $350. I had to get the blower motor replaced so my A/C would work again.

I actually could have done it myself but my mechanic had just retired so I wanted to get my car cozied up to a new mechanic so I figured I'd let them do it. Cost more but I got to see their work and interact with their people. They're a good place to go.
