Predictable yet awful results in the Grey Wind pool. Live-Action TV has been doing horribly. Same goes for the Lamborghini Reventon pool; stacked pool, but still, how the hell does Board 8 let Dick Gumshoe leave in Round 1?
I can also say right now that I'm going to be unhappy with the results of the Vulpecula Pool simply because there aren't even close to five characters in that pool that deserve to move on imo.

Ulti (in one of his Post-Contest Analyses): God of War turned a 5 hour deadlock into a total laugher Anagram: Oh God, Tidus and Yuna were involved?
Andromeda Pool: 27 Black Mage (8-bit Theatre) 21 Hector Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean) 18 Gandalf (The Lord of the Rings) 10 Bender (Futurama) -2 Undertaker (Pro Wrestling) -5 Frankenstein (Frankenstein) -6 Fox Mulder (The X-Files) -15 Sophie (Howls Moving Castle) -19 Shotaro Kaneda (Akira) -29 Vincent Chase (Entourage)
Cassiopeia Pool: 41 James Bond (James Bond) 34 Leonardo (TMNT) 33 Santa Claus (Christmas) 16 Big Boss (Metal Gear) -11 Crazy Dave (Plants vs. Zombies) -12 Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel) -15 Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom) -26 CatDog (CatDog) -30 Guts (Berserk) -30 Jack Rakan (Negima)
Vulpecula Pool: 41 The Terminator (The Terminator) 22 Green Lantern (DC Comics) 11 Eric Cartman (South Park) -3 Hank Moody (Californication)
-5 HHH (Pro Wrestling) -5 Troy Barnes (Community)
-7 Gumby (Gumby) -9 Doomsday (DC Comics) -19 Ricky Bobby (Talledega Nights) -26 Senator Lemonsnout (Homestuck)
Biggest Surprises: The WWE has an opportunity to seal two characters into the next round. Meanwhile, the Community has a chance at some tidbit of glory as well. The Green Lanturn did awesomely for a comic character. Bender and Eric Cartman under perform. I have a foreboding feeling for Futurama/South Park/Simpsons characters down the road in this competition.
Biggest Letdowns: Buffy misses the cut by inches. Damn, I was hoping she would make it. Frankenstein and Fox Mulder come up just short too while Vincent Chase gets destroyed.
--
The tower of power, too sweet to be sour, oh yeah!
HHH defeats Troy Barnes by a score of 10-5! Hunter Hearst Helmsley will move on to the next round while Troy leaves the baton to Pierce Hawthorne for being the sole Community character that hasn't competed yet.

Ionic Pool: 28 Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes) 23 Goku (Dragon Ball) 14 Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII) 7 Princess Peach (Super Mario Bros.) -4 Arthur (Arthur (Cartoon)) -5 Ron Swanson (Parks and Recreation) -11 Weasel King (Problem Sleuth) -13 SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants) -18 Johnny Drama Chase (Entourage) -21 Charlie Harper (Two and a Half Men)
Corinthian Pool: 22 Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde) 18 Tony Montana (Scarface) 12 Jack Torrence (The Shining) 12 Ganondorf (Zelda) 4 Farfetch'd (Pokemon) -3 Spike (My Little Pony) -8 Hulk Hogan (Pro Wrestling) -14 Stewie Griffin (Family Guy) -19 Jake Sully (Avatar) -24 Fedorafreak (Homestuck)
Biggest Surprises: Bigwig has a huge win. Tony the Tiger wins a pool. Farfetchd barely hangs on with a few last minute votes.
Biggest Letdowns: Hulk Hogan cant follow Undertaker and HHHs success. Stewie is outclassed, which was expected, but I didnt expect Spongebob and Doug Funny to lose.

The tower of power, too sweet to be sour, oh yeah!
Okay, this is about as WTF as you can get. I'm happy to see that enough people know what Watership Down is to get Bigwig a win, but how did Shredder advance, much less get first place?
Corinthian Pool: 22 Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde) 18 Tony Montana (Scarface) 12 Jack Torrence (The Shining) 12 Ganondorf (Zelda) 4 Farfetch'd (Pokemon) -3 Spike (My Little Pony) -8 Hulk Hogan (Pro Wrestling) -14 Stewie Griffin (Family Guy) -19 Jake Sully (Avatar) -24 Fedorafreak (Homestuck)
Another huge surprise here. Would've thought Stewie was stronger than that.

You really need to clarify characters with identical names/sources. It was a different Arthur than the one I thought. I wasted my +4 and you never showed up before the end of the round to clarify so I could change my vote.
CommodoreTN posted... You really need to clarify characters with identical names/sources. It was a different Arthur than the one I thought. I wasted my +4 and you never showed up before the end of the round to clarify so I could change my vote.
I did clarify I thought. I believe I said he was the cartoon version, with the little sister named G.W.
--
The tower of power, too sweet to be sour, oh yeah!
There have been cartoon adaptations of the other one, and I'm not familiar enough with those or your other Arthur to know who had a little sister named G.W.
Yeah, I had a feeling it was, that's why I went minus on it. I did hesitate a lot more than I would have a few months ago, though, because the movie was just remade (the lack of a last name was what convinced me that it was the cartoon, since the movie character has one.)
I need to see the remake. I doubt it will be anywhere near as good as the original, but it still sounds like an okay movie.

I think Family Guy in general is sputtering in popularity lately. However, Futurama, South Park, and Simpsons are just absorbing all kinds of negative votes. Although I like those shows, I don't mind. They usually do great and maybe we'll see some new blood go the distance in this thing.
I forgot to mention how surprised I was that Dwight Schrute lost tho...

Genghis Pool: 39 Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) 25 Obi Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) 5 J.D. Dorian (Scrubs) 0 King Leonidas (300) -4 Desmond David Hume (Lost) -6 Mat Cauthon (Wheel of Time) -10 Blade (Blade) -10 Oskar Schindler (Schindler 's List) -18 Big Daddy (BioShock) -21 ET (ET)
Alexander Pool: 35 Hades (Hercules) 20 Fox McCloud (Starfox) 14 Phoenix Wright (Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney) 12 The Brain (The Animaniacs) 5 Jiminy Cricket (Pinocchio) 3 Timon (The Lion King) -5 Daredevil (Marvel Comics) -18 Pierce Hawthorne (Community) -28 Gabriel Gray/Sylar (Heroes) -38 Utsuho Reiuji (Touhou)
Caesar Pool: 34 Deadpool (Marvel Comics) 23 George Castanza (Seinfeld) 15 President Josiah 'Jed' Bartlet (West Wing) 12 Fred Flintstone (The Flinstones) 2 Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV) -1 Ryu (Street Fighter) -2 Optimus Prime (Transformers) -18 Kenny Powers (Eastbound and Down) -31 Lois Lane (DC Comics) -34 Phineas Flynn (Phineas and Ferb)
Biggest Surprises: Phoenix pulled a Miles and climbed out of a serious early hole to get a respectable score. Kain Highwind was switching spots with Ryu and Optimus Prime all round but finally ended up on top. And Desmond barely beats out Mat Cauthon, who was in the positives all day till the end. Biggest surprise is Jed Bartlet though. By far.
Biggest Letdowns: Didnt expect everyone to hate ET. Timon takes and early leave due to a tough pool no doubt. And of course, losing Ryu and Optimus is a big downer.

Damnit, forgot to keep tabs on it throughout the day and start pulling vote-changing shenanigans as soon as it became clear that my anti-antivote was going to be meaningless.

Sedimentary Pool: 26 Oscar the Grouch (Sesame Street) 26 Mega Man (Mega Man) 18 Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds (Firefly) 11 Legolas (The Lord of the Rings) 11 Godzilla (Godzilla) 4 Jerry (Tom & Jerry) -5 The Thing (Marvel Comics) -25 John Egbert (Homestuck) -28 Napoleon Dynamite (Napoleon Dynamite) -38 Eikichi Onizuka (Great Teacher Onizuka)
Igneous Pool: 21 Rapheal (TMNT) 13 Bart Simpson (The Simpsons) 11 Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist Episode) 10 The Grinch (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) 4 Tommy Pickles (Rugrats) -4 Sylvanas Windrunner (Warcraft III/World of Warcraft) -9 V (V for Vendetta) -11 Kakashi Hatake (Naruto) -16 Patrick Star (SpongeBob Squarepants) -19 Archie Andrews (Archie)
Metamorphic Pool: 29 Sonic (Sonic The Hedgehog) 25 Cookie Monster (Sesame Street) 12 Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender) 10 Norman Osborne (Marvel Comics)
7 Dexter (Dexter's Lab) 7 Lucas (Mother series)
-10 Jack Shepard (Lost) -13 Donkey (Shrek) -32 Ashton Anchors (Star Ocean 2) -35 Eri Nagumo (Sharin no Kuni)
Biggest Surprises: Mal Reynolds represents big time! He blasts other Firefly characters scores out of the water. I also didnt expect Norman Osborne to do as good as he did. The Green Goblin strikes!
Biggest Letdowns: Nobody likes Napoleon. While V chooses the wrong day to remember.

Spit Ball Pool: 26 Dr. Evil (Austin Powers) 14 James T. Kirk (Star Trek) 14 Kaylee Fry (Firefly) 7 Cheshire Cat (Alice in Wonderland)
3 Midna (Zelda series) 3 McLovin' (Superbad)
-7 Ari Gold (Entourage) -8 Stimpy (Ren & Stimpy) -25 Bill Compton (True Blood) -27 Snake (999)
Knuckle Ball Pool: 22 Voldemort (Harry Potter) 18 Pumba (The Lion King) 14 Hank Scorpio (The Simpsons) 12 GIR (Invader Zim) 11 Samus Aran (Metroid) -1 Peter Pan (Peter Pan) -11 Minsc (Baldur's Gate) -12 Wonder Woman (DC Comics) -16 George Jetson (The Jetsons) -37 Tara Gregson (United States of Tara)
Gyro Ball Pool: 31 Zero (Megaman X) 25 Thor (Marvel Comics) 24 Inspector Gadget (Inspector Gadget) 6 GOB Bluth II (Arrested Development) 1 Omar Little (The Wire) -3 Pocahontas (Pocahontas) -11 Zaraki Kenpachi (Bleach) -12 Roger Smith (Big O) -16 General Buck Turgidson (Dr. Strangelove) -45 Toxie (Toxic Crusaders)
Biggest Surprises: Kaylee Fry proves Firefly is not a one season wonder. I never expected GIR to do so well. And Im pleasantly surprised to see Omar Little make the cut.
Biggest Letdowns: Well theres a few for sure. Peter Pan got lost in his pool and I never suspected Pocahontas to bow out so early, but the biggest letdown comes from Ari Gold. He was hardly competitive the whole match, always dwindling in the negatives. Too bad.

Ixora Pool: 48 Han Solo (Star Wars) 15 Iron Man (Marvel Comics) 10 Veronica Mars (Veronica Mars) 6 Jasmine (Aladdin) 1 Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho) -2 Pinocchio (Pinocchio) -4 Keyser Söze (The Usual Suspects) -21 Captain Hero (Drawn Together) -24 Lloyd Christmas (Dumb and Dumber) -29 John Crichton (Farscape)
Begonia Pool: 34 Dr. Emmet Brown (Back to the Future) 28 Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes) 2 Benjamin Linus (Lost) 1 Kronk (Emperor's New Groove) -4 Aslan (The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe) -6 Punisher (Marvel Comics) -11 Stringer Bell (The Wire) -14 Yuri Hyuga (Shadow Hearts) -15 Monkey D. Lantana Pool: 26 Popeye (Thimble Theatre) 19 Simba (Lion King) 15 EVE (Wall-E) 11 Wizardmon (Digimon) 9 Bill S. Preston, Esquire (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) 0 Vyse (Skies of Arcadia) -3 Tinkerbell (Peter Pan) -21 Fat Albert (Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids) -28 Izzy (Total Drama) -28 Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony)
Biggest Surprises: Yusuke represents for Yu Yu Hakusho and becomes its sole representative in the next round. Han Solo almost sets a record high in positive votes. Aslan barely hangs on. Biggest surprise to me is Wizardmon though. Who is this guy? I need to watch more Digimon.
Biggest Letdowns: Tinkerbell falls. I thought Lloyd Christmas would do better than he did. Its a shame losing Keyser as well. Frieza becomes the first Dragonball character to be ousted from the first round (but maybe not the last). Biggest letdown to me though was seeing Monkey D. Luffy getting so much hate.

Dylan Pool: 20 Hubert J. Farnsworth (Futurama) 19 Ocelot (Metal Gear) 17 Peter Venkman (Ghostbusters) 9 Morpheus (The Matrix) 2 Stone Cold Steve Austin (Pro Wrestling) -5 Dr. Elliot Reed (Scrubs) -9 Zachary Zach Morris (Saved by the Bell) -10 Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel) -15 Anna (V) -28 Beatrice (Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
Stones Pool: 19 Dr. Robotnik (Sonic) 15 Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z) 12 Frasier (Frasier) 10 Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) 10 Mickey Mouse (Disney) 5 Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass) -4 Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon) -14 Pluto the Dog (Disney) -25 Samuel Vimes (Discworld) -28 Peter Griffin (Family Guy)
Lennon Pool: 28 Mike Wasowski (Monsters Inc.) 24 Robin Hood (Mythology) 16 HK-47 (Star Wars: KotOR) 6 Judge Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame) -1 Edward Scissorhands (Edward Scissorhands) -8 Bernie Mac (The Bernie Mac Show) -8 Niko Bellic (Grand Theft Auto IV) -10 Charlie Kelly (Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia) -36 Souichiro Nagi (Tenjho Tenge) ***
Biggest Surprises: Peter freakin Venkman! Whod have thought hed get so much support? Stone Cold kicks a permanent mud hole in Dr. Reed and advances *cold beers for everyone*. Frasier and Hermione surprise the hell outta me too. Mike Wasowski winning a pool is no small feat either. Lots of surprises this round.
Biggest Letdowns: Me putting L in the contest twice under different names. I would have liked to see a Sunny character make it to the next round, but oh well. Pluto and Peter set new lows for themselves. Angel puts a nail in Buffys coffin.

Newton Pool: 29 Carlton Banks (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) 24 Tom (Tom & Jerry) 10 Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes) 7 Uncle Ruckus (The Boondocks) 1 Ike Greil (FE: PoR) -1 Pongo (101 Dalmations) -8 Alonzo (Training Day) -15 Chandler Bing (Friends) -19 Benjamin Button (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) -28 Shanghai (Touhou series)
Hawking Pool: 21 Nightcrawler (Marvel Comics) 13 Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh) 12 The Rock (Pro Wrestling) 8 Pac-Man (Pac-Man) 8 Barret Wallace (Final Fantasy VII) 4 John Rambo (Rambo) -8 Adrian Monk (Monk) -16 Brian Griffin (Family Guy) -17 Jigsaw (Saw) -25 Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory)
Biggest Surprises: Travis Touchdown and Uncle Ruckus did exceedingly well. Rock chimes in with wrestling's highest score yet and I never thought Pac-Man or Barret Wallace would get so much love. That leaves Sephiroth as the only FFVII entrant to be ousted.
Biggest Letdowns: John Rambo, damn what a loss he is. The others, although brimming with personality, were underdogs at best.
