Accepting Dracula's offer still keeps it as a triple threat, between Dracula's team, your old team, and the enemy team.

If you accept Dracula's offer and your old/abandoned team ends up winning, there is no infra exchange. Likewise if Dracula's team wins and nobody accepted his offer.

We have ruled that we assume control of roster selection and are able to use non-rechargeables and re-pick customs if we desire.

Also on a bonus note we actually found a record of an actual m2 interpretation of the merc and it turns out we (okay, they) were right.

to give him the chance to choose his roster, that would be unfair to you.
