But yeah it's pretty pointless on players with high potential unless it's a mid-table or lower team buying. No top team in their right mind is going to agree to that sort of clause with any sort of player who could become world class.

Transfer season is annoying the hell out of me because I keep reading yeah Gervinho, Cahill and Samba, Ricky Alvarez, Mata, but there has been no single official transfer yet. SPEND TE MONEY ARSENE SPEND IIIIIIIIIT.

25m plus Thiago would be a good deal and as good as you're going to get it imo. Probably more like 20m plus Thiago.

Obviously you rate Fabregas higher than that and you may well be right but I really don't see you getting more than that out of it.

If I was Wenger I'd have been making a cheeky enquiry about Villa since he'd been rumoured to be shipped out all summer.

I wish Newcastle would be linked to more strikers and full backs than central midfielders. One Ba is a good sign but we need one more to completely phase out Ameobi and Lovenkrands. And the right back position has been lacking whole season. Taylor can't quite cut it, Perch can't cut it at all and Simpson is struggling to cut it. Enrique might be leaving and they are trying to replace him with this guy called Neil Taylor (how unambitious) from Swansea.
