Squirtle defeating Mewtwo is an unexpected yet pleasant surprise, as is the tie between two of my favorites and Krookodile holding its own against Heracross.

Oh, sorry, yes, ties are just going to be left as ties again, at least until the final day or two. And I also apologize for the weird start times, but I figured that it would be better than not having a topic at all on the day that I did not get back in enough time to start it at the usual time. But my hope is that I can just continue to start them slightly later each day to wean us back toward the usual start time without having to skip a half day of matches all at once.
That said, I'm pretty amazed at the wins by Squirtle and Zapdos. Zapdos just hasn't looked as strong as I would've expected this contest (although he did still make the Top 25, so I guess it's hard to argue with that), and Mew has been pretty great. Squirtle, on the other hand, has performed better than his record last round seemed to indicate, but I'm still shocked that he took down Mewtwo, who seemed to be flaring in popularity and was sitting atop the rankings coming into Day 4.
I honestly think a tie is a pretty fitting result for Typhlosion and Tyranitar. I honestly think they're both pretty equally amazing, though I might give the slight edge to T-Tar.

Well, Sharpedo even getting into the top 25 is pretty surprising... so I completely expected this. Krookodile... not so much. Granted, I think I only voted for him in one matchup, but I'm still surprised that it's doing so poorly.
Typhlosion... ugh. Perhaps any position higher than 20 might be too much to hope for here.
Yes indeed, that 4x type advantage upset was rather shocking. Winless Charmander knocking off #1 Scizor was quite the curveball to the stat sheet.
As for including votes for and against, I suppose I can do that if you wish and are just curious to know, but I have not so far because in this format the actual scores for this round are inconsequential; destroying all of your opponents sets you up no better than squeaking by in every match. Except, of course, when the powerhouse faces off against the squeaker. There are other tiebreaker criteria used instead.

Alrighty, thanks, starfox. Yeah, little bit of craziness going on, I see.
Charizard reasserts his dominance, Scyther suffers its first loss at the hand of one-win Heracross, and Charmander follows up his stunning #1 upset by failing to put away bottom-of-the-barrel Krookodile. And for whatever reason, I find the Tyranitar-Espeon tie rather fitting. Speaking of ties, Typhlosion falls to 19th after picking up a round-high 3rd draw.

Okay, here are the for and against rankings. I ranked them by the total difference between the votes cast for a pokemon and votes against them in order to compensate for the fact that some pokemon have had byes.
And after doing all of this, I think I figured out how that program (or Da_J, whichever did it) determined the schedule, as irrelevant as that may be. :D
Certainly wasn't expecting Charizard to get doubled like that, but then scores don't actually matter this round- only wins to losses, so getting doubled won't set it back much if at all.

These are, perhaps, the best results ever. Articuno doubling arguably the most popular pokemon ever, and the ones I voted for that lost, lost to respectable opponents.

wow. Articuno winning was great, but otherwise an awful day
Scizor, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Heracross all losing, that's 4 of my top 5 pokemon right there :(
Alright, here's the deal. Starting tomorrow, I will again be gone for about a week. This time, however, internet access is expected. Since it has been so in the past, I see no reason why not to expect to be able to get on the internet this time. Hopefully, you won't notice anything different, but if a day or two goes by without a new topic or I mysteriously disappear for a week, that's why. In such an event, help keeping this topic alive is greatly appreciated.
I also figure that we should at least give everyone a bye week, meaning 25 days in the Round-Robin, and then go from there. I feel like that should be plenty, though, since this contest has already gone on long enough!
