anyone who cares that much about graphics shouldn't own a wii to begin with, it's not like the controls added a whole lot to games(in most cases they made games worse).

good to see that people are finally starting to see this game as more than just an anti-NOA campaign. I always wondered why this game had so much interest.

I think it looks really good, myself. yeah the facial graphics are brutal but it's the Wii. it's all about the environments anyway.

this game has gotten a disproportionate amount of attention compared to the last story or pandora's tower from the beginning, and that's pretty impressive given the last story's pedigree, I think there was always interest in xenoblade beyond the "NoA sucks" factor

graphics detail obviously could be better but I like the art direction anyway and that's always the most important part of a games aesthetics to me, xenoblade looks great.

It plays like a significantly better-executed FFXII battle-wise. If you hated FFXII's battle system then this won't immediately appeal to you either.

I think it looks great to be honest. The art direction makes up for the technically crappy graphics. Can't wait to get it myself.

Also really while there are much better looking Wii games, who really cares enough about graphics to not buy a game?

It's not difficult to make a Wii game look good, the Galaxy games look excellent and I'll be damned if RE4 looks that bad. It's not an art style issue, the games creators just didn't put the effort in. And if they didn't put the effort in in one area, how can I expect them to have put it in in other areas?

it's in-game. I don't see the issue here really. every ps2 game and before looks worse graphically and those were great RPGs. I could see being disappointed by other stuff like the VA or the story or the battle system or the setting, but the complaints seem purely graphical.

Man, am I the only one who thinks the VA is great?

Also, the art direction shows a lot of effort. But let's face it, a game of this scale wasn't going to be very good on the technical side of graphics. It's the anti-FFXIII.

But really I think the worst thing about this generation is th critical case of graphics-whoritis it has inflicted on a large number of people.

I think the VA is good, not notably so, but I never once thought "wow this is terrible acting" during this clip and pretty much every game that doesn't have metal gear solid in its does that to me at some point

I watched some other videos of some free roaming action and I am less ill-disposed towards it now

It was not the quality of graphics that turned me off but actually the battle interface and the characters (macguffin and destiny talk within the first 10 minutes), as well as the palette selection, which reminded me of an early 90s ski jacket.

However free roaming is potentially excellent

Now the issue is whether it's free-roaming good (full of rad details) or free-roaming bad (running between fetch quests).

nice try but that's only there for this specific battle. once you're out on the world there's no circle .

So very, very hyped - game looks great to me. Don't particularly care about the graphics so long as game is good, and it looks great. Totally agree that the zoom out at the end of that scene is fantastic. Ten days can't go fast enough.

I thought this looked pretty good. Graphics are fine. I didn't care for the voice acting but it's not so bad that you can't get used to it after a few minutes. Gameplay looks serviceable.
