Yeah, felt like posting a ranking here. I originally posted a ranked on the BW board, but I was unsatisfied with it and decided to redo the entire rankups. Not much has changed other than some pokemon drastically increasing in placement.
I might do writeups if you want me to do it for some specific pokemon, but not all of them; that would take too much time and I suck at writeups.
I generally based positioning around design and originality, but some usability factors in as well. Luckily, my first pokemon game was Emerald, so I have no Gen I nostalgia bias.
Some justifications: I really don't like humanoid pokemon. The Jynx, Mime, and Gothita lines fall under this category. The series is called Pocket Monsters. I don't think mimes when I think of monsters.
The coons are completely generic cocoons with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Alomomola is scary, and I don't understand why the name is a palindrome.
Chingling was the baby that should never have existed.
And nothing of value was lost. One of my friends' favorite pokemon is Jynx. I don't think we could be more opposite in our choices. Except we both like Gyarados, but, it''s ****ing Gyarados.
Landorus is such a pain to get that I hate it. It would have been nice to allow the other version's genie to be added to the dex so you can trade over GTS for it, but of course not.
The monkeys. Damn monkeys. Pansage is decent mostly because of the anime.
Feebas is a shameful Magikarp knockoff and it knows it.
Pelipper's beak scares me.
Just like Chingling was the baby that should not have existed, Regigigas was the legendary that was pointless. Why add a legendary that cannot be caught without access to the previous gen, is LEVEL 1, and plain sucks?
At least Simisage is higher than the other two, but it still should be much higher than 614. Pelipper, Wingull, and Vanillite also have no business being that low.
Don't really care about the others.

imo anyone willing to put Mr. Mime bottom ten should have him last. he's everything that humanoid-hating people hate about the humanoids, along with being a general misfit even among them, relatively useless, will always end up a bit overrated by some because he's RBY, etc. his existence doesn't make sense, starting with his name. "Bulbasaur...Squirtle...Pikachu...Mr. Mime..."

Personally I don't count Phione as Legendary. anything I can breed to get more of doesn't count. I'd rank Magmar and Emboar higher, but I can see disliking them, unlike Eelektross.

My bad, I misremembered my names. Yeah Eelektrik is one of those middle form pokemon that sucks.

On a random side note, I just started replaying through platinum the other day and the third Starly I see is shiny. I caught it and named it Bozz. Expect Staraptor's ranking to skyrocket because of the RNG gods.
The Mien line is one of those lines I just intensely dislike for some reason. The Gen 4 Fairies and the Lucario line falls under this category too. Maybe it's the fighting style, I don't know.
It seems that no matter what I put in each spot somebody will hate me for it. Ah well. Right now the next 100 or so pokemon are the pokemon I do not like or dislike,
