Say it's from Al Quada or whatever, and President Obama gets on stage to say that these people hate us because of the tea party and it's their fault the attack happened, they are the enemies within our own borders and they need to be disbanded, Fox News needs to be taken off the air, and new laws need to be made to make the arab world like us and keep this from happening again.
I'm part of the Internet Generation, which means I will be the first to tell everyone how much I DON'T care about anything, how cynical I am about the whole situation, and hey, maybe America even deserved it!

OK that's fine I was just wondering because I hear Fox News spreads all sorts of lies and makes people think dumb crap about the President and the tea party is the reason for the downgrade so I was just thinking about if the tea party causes a new attack.

No amount of planning will ever replace dumb luck.
I'd enjoy the spectacle on all the news channels and internet forums first and foremost, then I'd find it politically satisfying and morally distressing. I'd probably start second guessing what form the retaliation and paranoid conspiracies which would inevitably follow would take next. Then forget about it after a few as when the journalists get bored of giving it air time.
I'd see it as more than it likely would be. I'd assume the worst, thinking WW3 was coming, or perhaps some sort of holocaust. I'd fear for the draft and perhaps make plans to leave the country to somewhere far more secluded and detach myself from most/any technology so as to not be claimed by anyone who would try and wipe me off the planet's surface.
Of course, I'm always afraid of these kinds of things, and expect something to happen before long that would instill this fear in me anyway. =\
