Did you remove all the votes of everyone who had PL last? And that left Pulp Fiction with more first place votes than Star Wars?

Also pretty much perfect results. Basically wanted Godfather and Pulp Fiction to go through along with anything but PL. Lion King is OK but I wish I had supported Shawshank more in it's place.

Yeah.

So when a movie was removed. Say if a voter had it ranked 3rd. Their 4th, 5th and 6th place votes were all bumped up. If they ranked the movie 6th, the movie they ranked 5th would become the new last place movie.

Oh so you mean somebody had PL ranked first and Pulp Fiction second so when you removed PL, Pulp Fiction got an extra first place vote.

I thought it was like, 4 people ranked Pulp Fiction first and 4 people ranked Star Wars first, but one of the Star Wars guys ranked PL last so when you removed his vote Star Wars only had 3 first place votes.

Does that make sense?

Except when Pan's Labyrinth was removed, Pulp actually won by 4 first place votes. So what could have happened was four people had Pan's Labyrinth first and Pulp Fiction second. Or some number that would equate to more people having Pulp second than Star Wars second if they had Pan's first.
