Ginhyun, Shoe, and I have soft plans to play some Starcraft II tonight. Gin and I both describe ourselves as awful, and from the few games I've played against Shoe he actually seems pretty good.

Anyway, you are all invited! We can play some team games or some FFAs or whatever and just have a blast. Anyone interested? Not sure when exactly we'll start, we haven't made it that far in discussion yet.

fun fact: I've been playing a few games this morning to try and get a better feel for the game. literally just lost to a normal computer playing Terran. I don't think any of you have to worry about being the worst player there!

in SC2 does it kick you out of the game when all your stuff is destroyed, even if the game is still going on? it could kind of suck if someone gets eliminated early then has to wait in the chat for everyone else to finish. do they have an option to stay and watch?

If it's a team game it lets you stay until everyone on your team is defeated. IDK about free-for-all though.

ah cool beans. we had an issue in WC3 before where Shoe beat up the game's host and it kicked the host out, ending our game! saddest day ever.

I haven't played for like eight weeks, so I'm probably terribly rusty. But I'd be willing to play. I assume once it's decided there is a game to be played, we just meet up in a chat channel?

Free for all is really, really lame, though. Like...the way you win is by playing super-passive and hoping all the other players wipe each other out. Like...the typical free for all game lasts about an hour, and everyone gets knocked out at different times so several people need to wait around.

whatever everyone wants sounds good. I've never actually played a team game so that could be cool. a bunch of 1v1s sounds lame if there's a lot of us, so anything except that! we could even do those monobattles thing where each player can only build one unit, always wanted to try that.

you can't do a bunch of 1v1's with many many people, thats boring and counter-intuitive

Yeah, monobattles are a decent way of self-balancing too, in that if one person is a mid-masters player and everyone else is like...silver, the mid-masters player can just name a completely ridiculous unit and the match will still be interesting.

Hmm, I might be a little late. Have to take care of some stuff first. But yeah, team battle is probably the way to go.

Also, as I said, I'm terrible. Only really played with friends, and I think there's been at least one balance patch since the last time I played. So it's going to be interesting to see if I remember when to actually build things.

That's not the most hilarious way to use tunneling claws, though. Popping up on Hydras is funny, but popping up on Sieged Tanks is funnier.
