From: KimPilgrim | #448 How is that Red Skull series? I'm assuming it's not set in present day.
Nope. It's a story of the genesis of Red Skull. Very macabre tone. This is as good as Pak collaborator Van Lente's Taskmaster book.
Mystic is a fairy tale relaunch of the old CrossGen book. Very charming, great art -- hard not to read it without a smile on your face. In other words, the antithesis to Red Skull: Incarnate.

Surprised note: starting to get hyped for Voodoo. Just read a little Ron Marz Witchblade, and it's really pretty good. I may start reading that artifacts series.
From: KimPilgrim | #468 Oh man what's going on in that series.
I gave up on Thor when JMS left.
Mighty Thor is actually pretty great so far. Definitely the best Fraction has going right now, as the rest of the crap he's producing is incredibly lackluster. It's like he's focusing all of his talent on Mighty Thor while he's just throwing s*** out for Iron Man and especially Fear Itself.

On the note of Mighty Thor, great issue, last page was pretty awesome. I get the sense that Fraction doesn't quite know how to write Silver Surfer, but eh, still pretty great.

I get the same feeling, but Mighty Thor has been pretty entertaining so far. The headbutt made me lol, and didn't Thor headbutt Surfer in one of the first issues?
Journey Into Mystery is my favorite Thor comic out right now, though, even if it's technically more of a Loki comic. It's just so awesome. Gillen writes a great Loki.
Journey Into Mystery is a fun book. It reads better in one go than once a month, but even just reading along as singles, I can't get enough of Loki. Gillen really gets the tone of that book right.
The bit in Journey a while back where Loki was talking about people on the internet calling him a troll was great. Also the Thor's reaction to Loki finding what's implied to be porn sites.
1. Bokurano 2. Essex County 3. JoJo's Bizarre Advenure v1-v6 (v7 started a new universe, so "original" JJBA counts as completed) 4. I Kill Giants 5. Scott Pilgrim

What's the starting point on that books current run?
The only two non-cape comics i've read that I can think of are Poison Elves and another one I can't remember the name of that involved a yellow assassin robot.

622. The .1 issue that came out on Wednesday is written by someone else, and it came out in the middle of a convoluted story -- not sure what the thinking behind that was. I didn't find this out until I brought my books home! Damn you Marvel.

Uncanny X-Force was good, but the placement was f***ing stupid. #5-7 are one story arc, and they decide to do a 5.1. "Hey, jump on kids...in the middle of a story arc that isn't connected to the story you just read at all!"
