RNG wasn't my friend. Finding non-combats took longer than usual at every turn, despite starting with song of solitude. Still need to finish the Pyramid (almost all of it), entire island quest (outside of some flyering), digital key, star key, and dungeon of doom. Guessing it's another 5 day run.

Not sure if I should go for a 3 day softcore Boris run, or just not risk it and do one last HC run (and pick up the gnomish skills, since I won't need to worry about day count anymore.) Probably the latter, considering my lack of SC experience/lack of really good pulls.

New path. No more Boris for me. 25 permed skills in my first 51 days of playing, with 610 banked karma. Not a bad way to get back into the game.

Ascended as a Turtle Tamer. Going to start doing stuff like clan dungeons/the basement/the sea before I ascend again, and take my time in general this run. I think I've done enough rushing for now.

Bugbear Invasion!

Fought bugbears in the back alley, the forest, the bat cave, and the laboratory. Made it to level 5 and finished the quests through level 4.

Doing it as a Normal Disco Bandit for simplicity sake. Also joined the guild and built my weapon and a meatcar.

Got to level 9 and did that quest. now I'm getting to level 10 and maxing my moxie.

Cleared out the bottom level of the Spaceship. Also dealt with the Science lab on the second floor.

Finished the day at level 7. Haven't done the Friars or the Crypt yet.
Got a Lucre from the "Fun" House from yesterday.

-Worked the Copse and the Cyrpt.
-Finished off the second level of the Bugbear Spaceship.
-Got as far as I could with my Nemesis.
-Did the leaflet.
-Opened up the Chasm. Didn't get a chance to fight an Adding Machine though. Really need to start using the clan fax machine if I want to save some time.

Managed to get day 2 margarita, at level 9 now. More focused on doing side stuff and getting lucre (at 18 now. I'm regretting not hunting more with Boris. I miss banishing shout) than I am actual important missions, but I don't really have anything to do now. Guess I'll get to work on pirating.

Is there a better way I could be using that than spending 10000 for a single copy? I'm kinda regretting buying the VIP key as it stands. Feels like selling the Mr. A would have helped a lot more.

I'm seeing a lot of monsters I couldn't fight otherwise. That seems pretty nice. Plus I won't need to use a semi-rare on the bad Ascii art, and it'll speed up bounty hunting.

9 days 1494 adventures. I really don't know what happened in this run other then just feeling totally underleveled during the 7th, 8th, and 9th level quests and spending more time then normal on them.

Hero of the Half Shell might help if you mean you're struggling with combat, especially with blood of the wereseal. I can basically tank my way through anything at +25 ML when I have a shield, but I got my ass handed to me most of the time I tried to bring out a turtling rod. It (and Tao of the Terrapin I guess) feels like it's been the most useful skill I've permed so far. Consider taking it if you plan on doing more muscle class ascensions.

Currently at 5 days 1006 adventures (halfway through MacGuffin, and barely started Giants), so I'm not exactly speedrunning myself, but it feels like it's really made a difference for me.

Broke the prism. Doing the memory quest/Alice stuff now. Wish I knew drink me potions were buyable before buying that Glow-in-the-Dark Wristwatch, but at least I got most of my money back on that.

Finished my first HC run doing AoB last night; a 9-dayer. Definitely has me appreciating the value of each adventure a lot more than my previous 36 SC runs did. I spent a lot more time last night in my new SC Bugbear run optimizing every turn in terms of familiar use, buffs, and gear.

I never take the time to change familiars. Each run I typically pick a familiar and stick with them the whole time.

Maybe once I've got the trophy for doing that with 30 familiars I'll take the time to use them to my advantage instead of just using them.

I just use my fairychaun familiars throughout my runs. Probably not the best thing to do, but it works.

I have no idea what I'm doing with familiars. Too many Boris runs, too much Clancy. I did a 100% run with the Smiling Rat (I think. I hope. It's fine to use other familiars after breaking the prism, right?) for the monster belt, and I'll probably use the stab bat next for the trophy, not sure what I'll do after that. Maybe just switch between a stat-up and item up familiar until I can get an IotM familiar. I think I'm going to make one of those my first really expensive purchase, although I'm not sure which yet.

Yeah, once you break the prism it no longer matters what familiar you use.

I just spent 70 turns in the F'c'le trying to get Rigging Shampoo from the Creamy Pirate. I even olfacted him and had Musk of the Moose to make sure I was fighting him over and over. So frustrating.

Alternating between Bounties, El Vibrato, and Slimes (when I have hot tub uses left). Didn't realize El Vibrato took this long, but at least the S Pirates aren't that bad for meat.

Just noticed that my Smiling Rat was at 99.7% in my ascension history. Augh.

Still working Bounties, El Vibrato, and Slimes, with some spanish fly hunting thrown in for good measure. Also fighting a Mime a day via fax, then malling the mime souls. Been selling them for 28,000 meat a day, but the price seems to have dropped a bit. Shame I can't get 220,000 each like I did when I first sold some <_<.


Worked the slime tube down to picture #6, but looking ahead I have no idea how I can beat the Mother slime. I do physical damage just fine, I can get spooky damage through Spectral Snapper, but past that my options are chronic indigestion, and ice damage via Frozen Gravy Fairy (I'll probably need a potato, anyway). I guess I could use semi rares to add damage of other elements?

Oh, there are hobo elemental skills for sale at the mall for ~500 meat. That's convenient!

Got the helmet from El Vibrato. Think I'm going to take a break from that for now, and focus on getting clockwork keys. I've gotten two so far. Probably going to spend all my adventures at the thugndrome outside of bounty hunting, a few turns of getting cold-blooded warm fuzzies, and 40-60 turns of fighting slimes.

I can push it to +183 with a ring of aggrivate monster, mall for Slimy Alveoli for +50 (223), put on a Hipposkin ponch for another 10 (233), become unpopular and assaulted for 50 more (288), trigger the +ML song (293), and eventually get to level 30 for 26 more ML from the aria (319). That seems like all I can get for a reasonable cost right now. Guess I'll need to find a Purse Rat, get a moonthril cuirass, buy some cologne of contempts/ultra fondues, and do four more ascensions (including hardcore sauceror) to come close to getting a caustic slime noodle. I'll put a second run through on the backburner until I've put more time into the game, I suppose.
