Sunshine had the potential to be good. Personally, I like some of the levels quite a bit, but some of them are just too big and there's too much punishment for even making small mistakes (Like in Ricco Harbor, if you fall from the catwalks up at the top of the level, it's going to take you several minutes to even get back up to where you were, and it's not that hard to mess up).

And if you go for all 120 Shines, you'll realize the terribleness of 24 Blue Coin Shines when they could've very easily given you 2 or 3 more worlds instead. Just feels like laziness.

Edit: Another lazy thing, in pretty much every world, you fight the same boss of the world at least twice for a star, or so it seems. Heck, you fight that Gooper Blooper thing like four friggin' times.

I came to SM64 after SMG and while I prefer the latter, I'm a huge fan of both (however, both Galaxies are godly while SM64, close but no cigar).

I agree with the latter point so hard. It's also a big reason why SM64 holds more appeal to me than something like...say, either Zelda game from the same console.

Better, maybe. Just plain better, big no no.

Although both Galaxies are my favorite Nintendo games aside from Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Metroid so bah. I don't see that changing much at all in the future, either. As of now, DKC2 is probably the best Nintendo game I haven't played. Maybe MK64 is close behind.

I think that SM64 = SMS, more or less, and SMG1 is pretty close, but I think I like SM64 and SMS just slightly more. I agree that SMG1 didn't really need the Wiimote too much. SMG2 I didn't like, because the Wiimote usage was much higher than SMG1 and it was kind of overboard.

...What? No, it isn't. What else do you use the Wiimote for in Galaxy 2 that you didn't use it for in Galaxy 1? Fluzzard essentially replaces ray surfing from Galaxy 1, so it's not there. Galaxy 2 doesn't have a higher number of rolling ball stars, so it can't be that. None of the new power-ups require a bunch of motion control usage (unless you consider spinning to make clouds appear overboard).

Not getting it.

Galaxy is a 9/10 game with a Gamecube controller and a 3/10 game with the bad sex toy. Galaxy came after Wind Waker, Mario 64 came before. Since Wind Waker is the cutoff line for when Nintendo stopped being any good, the answer here is obvious.

And lol trying to bash Diet Water, you people have no idea how smart the dude is. This topic is spot-on, Nintendo fans are just incapable of pattern recognition or higher thinking. They never learn or retain anything from history, mainly because they're all goombas and march to whatever tune Nintendo commands they march to. Thankfully the Wii is the most hated console ever and the Wii U is prime to tank.

the N64 and the gamecube are a step down from the SNES in their game libraries, but the wii is even further beneath that. there's mario galaxy and...that's pretty much it if you're an american, until skyward sword comes out mario galaxies are literally the only reason to own a wii.

really, sonic colors?
DKCR was ruined by waggle controls
haven't played NSMBWii much
okami wii was ruined by waggle controls, saying this doesn't even do it justice, the wii port was honestly OFFENSIVE to me
didn't play enough of the wii version of RE4 to say
metroid prime trilogy is ruined by controls
twilight princess is slightly inferior to the gamecube version but manages to be the one port that isn't outright destroyed, so I'll give it that

the one thing I do have to say about brawl though is that although it's wrought...a lot bad game design, you can set up a pretty decent no waggle wiichuk control scheme with it, so it's actually one of the few games that shows the wii remote off without motion controls and I have to say it's good that way. the modularity of it giving your hands freedom of movement is great, and its analog stick is actually a bit better than the gamecubes IMO, just too many games use waggle where it really has no business being
