The theme is that, for one week, everything will be done on time.

(not really -- theme week next week, still waiting on good ideas, and would like to give you guys ample time to prepare an appropriate song)

- No fatties. Sorry Adele.
- Choose a song, provide a link (no direct downloads, please), and do both of these in a timely manner.
- You have to rate, rank, and comment on every song chosen by another member. It doesn't matter how eloquent your reviews are, we won't judge. Just get 'em in! It's a nice exercise.
- Have your reviews in by the end of our week. Refusal to do so will result in suspensions and expulsions.
- Have fun! This is just a silly thing we do for a few months, no need to take offence, or insult anybody for any reason. Except Giggs. Have at him.

Although neither seems too much like a "theme" per se. More like just something to limit selection as opposed to a common theme like covers or live performances or instrumental versions or something.

I change my vote to instrumental versions of vocal songs.

i just like "first songs from debut albums" as an idea cos they can be a great example of a band announcing their presence to the world, sort of thing

like black sabbath's self titled track for instance. or massive attack's "safe from harm" creating and damn near perfecting a genre in five minutes.

not by any means devoted to this idea alone, though - if you guys have better ones i'd be happy to hear them!

Icon - Gang Gang Dance - House Jam – Didn’t know about Rabbit Heart sampling this. Not like this is better than Rabbit Heart, but that guitar play is great.

Giggs - Main Attrakionz (feat. ASAP Rocky) - Take 1 – Very chilled out, one for the after party. It works.

Lockes - The Flaming Lips - Evil Minds – Quite eventless, although that trippy last minute is a highlight.

Carl? - Motion City Soundtrack - Disappear – It’s quite depressing when there’s a great middle eight in such an otherwise bad song!

KCF - Albert Hammond Jr. - In Transit – Dull verses, but that synth part in the chorus is divine. (Also +++ for Cobra Starship being a recommended video)

Cokes - Temple of the Dog - Say Hello 2 Heaven – At least it stays clear from the worst clichés, but this is “literally” not for me at all.

Seg - Kiss Kiss - Janet – This sure takes an… unexpected turn. Best part is definitely the way their vocals harmonize.

Bartz - Röyksopp - In Space – Now this is just adorable, and makes me realize how much I need to explore Röyksopp’s discography. I rarely encounter music that tickles my imagination this much!

Vince - Frank Ocean - Thinking About You – Nice, and… nice, I guess.

JC - Calvin Harris - Feel So Close – Love me some Calvin Harris, although this is a bit recycled. Reminds me a lot of David Guetta’s “Titanium”, for better and worse.

Not Dave: Girls - Die – I just know I have so much to catch up on when it comes to Girls, and that pleases me. It’s not as good as “Vomit”, but it’s still really good.

My sister loves them so I have heard quite a few songs from them. One of the best of the bunch

Ah, no wonder it reminded me of Pearl Jam. I guess that I can excuse it for using a number to replace a word

Background music and vocals didn't seem to mesh at time, but it was very good overall
