Board 8 > Took the day off from work so that I could bake Challah for Rosh Hashanah

Batch 1 currently rising. Will yield two loaves.

The goal is to create 5 Loaves of regular Challah and 1 Loaf of a Chocolate Cinnamon Challah.

Each batch takes roughly 3.5 hours from start to finish.

It's going to be a long day.

I can do a 3 Braid just fine, my 6 Braid is awful. Last time I did it i got confused half way through and eventually just winged it. Came out delicious but truly deformed.

Never had Challah, but it's always looked like the best bread ever.

Regular old bread doesn't hold a candle to Challah. Its fluffy and flaky at the same time and deliciously sweet. I wish i could bestow upon you one of my loaves of challah so that you could truly see how good it is to be a jew.

Thats not to say that other breads aren't just as amazing.

Actually, I guess last times 6 Braid wasn't THAT deformed but you can see where I eventually got frustrated.

More often than not its shipped in and not fresh so you are better off.

But yeah, if you find yourself in a bakery that has Challah (and now would be the time with it being Rosh Hashanah) definitely pick up a loaf. Its also amazingly great for French Toast
