I'm always a little surprised at Dick Grayson's popularity. The general popular consenus is 'eww Robin gross f***ing up my super serious Batman comic books", but he's pretty much universally loved among comic book fans. He even won B8's DC Character Contest a little while ago!

I think most people have become aware of Nightwing one way or another. We still had people posting dumb **** in that final like "Why are we letting a joke character like Robin win the contest?", but I like to think Nightwing is one of the bigger names.

now we just have to wait for the Marvel results, mostly to see how close Thor gets to Captain America and how far Spider-Man is ahead of both of them, and maybe to compare Spider-Man's points with Batman's.

Just read Voodoo, not good. Disappointing from a good team working on a good character. I don't think I've seen a first issue ever get less done when it comes to characterization. Plus, well just literally nothing, like no content at all. Kind of shocking. The last 6 pages should've been the first six pages.

not really sure what i'd say was the best or worst week. looking at pure grades, last week was terrible, but Wonder Woman and Batman were fantastic. I'm probably the least excited by this week's books, even if it lacked the stinkers of week 3. gonna say week one was the best, week four the worst, but don't hold me to that.

Right, but in every form of media they always start with Dick Grayson as Robin. Adam West TV show, the movies, cartoons, all the various Batman Year One specials we never get enough of it.

Also, Ultimates Comics: The Ultimates #2 was surprisingly awesome, and had a great jab at Mark Millar with his "YOU THINK THIS A ON MY FOREHEAD STANDS FOR FRANCE!?"

I can't really think of what was most disappointing to me, as far as what I was expecting compared to what I got. Maybe Grifter? "Who is Jake Ellis" really got my hopes up. I may do a little categorical award thing when I get home.

So I read Voodoo. Didn't have any idea what it was but yeah, that was awesome. It reminded me of something I've been wanting to ask you guys. Has DC ever done something like Marvel with MAX Comics?

I mean, I know MAX was Marvel's answer to Vertigo, but what I liked about it is that we had normal heroes uncensored. Vertigo is cool for what it is, but they're all their own stories in a completely different universe. Have they ever done something like where Catwoman would be drawn nude or Superman would be cussing up a storm? Call me immature or whatever, I'm just wondering if they've done it.

They haven't. But they should, Catwoman's nipples they should. Well DC heroes cussing they have done, though censored, in AllStar Batman etc. But it is interesting that DC has an "M" rating which so far they have not used, only going up to "T+".

Also, not sure what gives you MAX vibes from Voodoo. *mild spoilers* There's a killing (not directly shown), blood on a wall, and some PG-13 nudity. There have been less tame Batman issues in the 1970s.

Superman #1 wasn't amazing or anything, but it didn't need "saving". I was perfectly content with Perez and Merino. Giffen will undoubtedly be better, but Jurgens taking over art is unfortunate.
