So, Ultimates #2. Hickman is crazy. Ribic is brilliant. It's as if they read the script for Fear Itself and told Axel Alonso "we can do that in one issue." Hickman has yet again earned every superlative thrown at him. The only thing this comic didn't have was Da Vinci in enhanced body armour, but we have SHIELD for that I suppose.

EDIT: Action Comics was very good and it's nice to have a Grant Morrison comic come out on time.

I am really unmotivated to read comics, I still have a bunch of new ones ready to go... I just don't feel like it...

Yeah I know how you feel. I gave up on trying to read all 52, but I have the same problem. I've still only read Penguin, Stormwatch, and Action (which I enjoyed but not as much as #1) from this week, and a bunch from the last few weeks I never got to (New Guardians, Red Lanterns, Superman, JLD, and more...). Not even Animal Man, Invincible, and Walking Dead could draw me in...although now that I have free time I will try to get around to that.

I was already skipping a lot from the last few weeks just because I've been so busy. And now I'd rather die more in Dark Souls!

I kinda want Animated Batman, but it seems like it be really jarring with the rest of the game. At least DKR Batman looks like he can fit in with the dark environment. Plus, now I never have to look at ugly as sin Arkham Asylum Batman character design again, aw yeah

The Robin DLC is from Best Buy, it's on their site, and that's where I pre-ordered from. I don't know why it says Gamestop on there, maybe they're offering the same. I also can't keep track. I tried to find where to get the Neal Adams costume from, but I couldn't, and I figured the Robin maps would be better anyway.

Although I really want that Neal Adams skin dammit.

At least I'll have the Sinestro Corps one.

Hopefully they all get released as DLC later on.

JLI #2 was great. WAY better than the first issue.

Batman being a badass and putting Rocket Red in his place, the best. Pretty much Batman this whole issue was fantastic. He was well written, not out of character, but not GRR I'M BATMAN I AM THE NIGHT, the way some people tend to write him.

The villain at the end looked like a cross between Orion and... Galactus.

What the hell makes Bleez so special? Her boobs and ass? Of course, but Atrocitus should obviously choose Dex-Starr. THAT would be the best decision. Could have him talking and everything. We need a talking Red Lantern cat.

ANIMAL MAN SPOILERS RIGHT HERE

Man. At the end of Animal Man #1, I thought Buddy's daughter had killed a bunch of small animals and was one of those twisted little animal killer children. And the whole ROT IN THE RED thing was an artistic metaphor for the ensuing rivalry between Animal Man and his daughter...like she'd become his villain eventually or something.

BUT NAH LOOKS LIKE I COMPLETELY BLEW THAT OUTTA PROPORTION

Looks like everything was quite literal. The little animals are undead or something? And apparently there's three demon monsters attacking San Diego Zoo for some reason. I don't get it. Am I supposed to have Animal Man or DC lore knowledge prior to reading this or something? If so, lame,and please explain. Still, the daughter's pretty awesome. Dem shades.

All in all, I'm still in love with Animal Man and these two issues in general. The art and writing are both...amazing. Sucks I have to wait a whole nother month ¬_¬

Naw, this is a mystery story for everyone. You should be reading Swamp Thing, though, as they are quite obviously going to crossover.

And Swamp Thing is actually REALLY GOOD too. Of course it's Snyder, so that's to be expected. But I never cared one bit about Swamp Thing, and suddenly, after reading the first issue, I was already hooked. The second issue was even better.

On a separate note, I started reading Green Arrow, got bored, and skimmed the rest of it. Can't wait 'til issue 4, dammit.

I gotta work up the courage to read Huntress...

I'd be fine with that - I've heard nothing but good things about Swamp Thing from you guys and I'm thinking of picking up another series anyway.

Glad this is a mystery for everyone and that it's a literal reboot. It's such a good story so far.

Well as I said, Animal Man doesn't really have much of a history. Even if this wasn't an actual reboot, you could still follow a new story about him easily. They pretty much HAVE to introduce new elements and characters because there's nothing from his past to use.

Yeeeeeesssss Marvel is releasing a collection of the "Evolutions" variant covers they were doing for various titles a few months ago.

I was so tempted to get some of them but I try to stay away from collecting variants because I know I could get carried away too easily.

The Emma Frost one is pretty bad and the Angel one seriously doesn't have one with his metal wings.

I realize that would have messed with the whole symmetry thing that cover has going but I can't believe they thought that was a worthwhile sacrifice.
