It's the one questionable entry Bacon seems to be allowing (he already shot down Einstein/Hitler and Charles Barkley/Michael Jordan), so almost the entirity of Board 8 is pushing for it. Only problem is it's way behind Mario/Bowser (possibly Mario/Wario as well) and Sonic/Knuckles (possibly Sonic/Dr. Robotnik as well) and needs all the help it can get just to make it in.

That's the explanations in a nutshell I guess.
