Pyromancies don't scale with anything but Humanity and your Hand level, so you don't need to level up any stats for them to be efficient, except attunement to have more spell slots.
The best hand has a level S scaling with Int, but it's only for the R2 attack so it's not worth it.

Taurus drops an Axe Gargoyle drop Helm and Axe, I got both since I died like 5 times against them.
Also I just discovered the Helkyte Dragon goes down on the bridge even when unprovoked, you just have to stand on top of the stairs for awhile and it'll come, then you just hit and run as with the bow strategy.
It's cool cause my SL1 Pyro can't use a bow.

Beat Moonlight Butterfly. Wasn't too hard, although there were some close calls since I accidentally made myself heavy. I had about 16,000 souls and one humanity at this point, I'm saving up for the emblem to open that door. I get up to the top of that tower, get the loot, then FALL OFF the tower and die.
god dammit why am I so bad at this?
luckily getting back there shouldn't be too hard if I avoid all the golem knights and DON'T JUMP OFF ANY MORE CLIFFS GOD DAMN

I hate the fact that the Stray Demon is hard no because of my lack of skill but because of stupid BS, like I was almost killing him but then he decided to hide in a corner and freaking stay there, impossible to do anything.

Dead ! I can easily say that the Stray Demon has been the hardest boss to kill as a SL1 so far, would've been a piece of cake if I had spent the time to farm some souls to get like 2 more levels for my hand.

SHINE GET 64 posted... HeroDelTiempo17 posted... Ok so...I guess going into that special forest area was a bad idea for my point in the game. There goes a humanity point...
But hey, at least I had no souls!
that's where you can farm 7000 souls every 2-3 minutes by exploiting the AI
take advantage of it!
How exactly is this done? I'm farming souls right now to get the key..but I assumed it was just regular grinding in there. The enemies are really hard then?

Golem Knights are about the simplest enemies in the game to kill, as long as you have a good shield
When they do the slow, just hug them while you circle around.

there's 4 enemies there as soon as you enter the door where you used the crest
2 mage guys that shoot soul arrows at you 1 phantom knight a little bit to the right of them 1 axe guy with a spiderman shield near the back.
you gotta run by them so that all 4 start chasing you. Go back to the door where you used the crest and go to the ledge on the very right by the cliff. Instead of following you down the ledge, they'll go up the stairs instead and try to drop down on you. 50% of the time this results in them just rolling off the cliff. Sometimes they'll manage to land in front of you, at which point you can just defend and as soon as they attack you once they'll bounce off and fall off the cliff as well
the mages and phantom give 2000 each, the spiderman shield guy gives 1000
Lautrec seems to come and go from time to time but when he's around he'll be right in front of the fire keeper. As long as he hasn't embraced his inner Yurt he'll show up there eventually.
baron von toast posted... Not sure why you'd ever want to take it off.
well when you get your HP and END to level 40 probably no reason to equip it other than the equipment load bonus because HP and stamina would already be maxed
So Blighttown is hell because it overlaps so much that I seem to trigger enemies from halfway across the map. I clear the area, poke around a bit, and some guy that's been chasing me for who knows how long finally catches up. That or they run off the edge and I get 150 mystery souls.
Managed to get both the Stone Greatsword and the Stone Greatshield from the Stone Knights in the forest. I'm tempted to grind levels to be able to use them, but that means getting my strength to 40 and cranking up my endurance as well. I dunno if I want to take the time to do that.
The sword's weaker than the Black Knight Greatsword I've been using anyway. That thing dropped off the very first Black Knight in Undead Burg.
