I think someone in the other thread asked why LTTP is only #10 in the RPI despite being #3 in the human top 25. Right now the major reason I can come up with is that LTTP has been sliding due to facing ultra-weak opponents (including our #168, Gears of War 2!).

Congrats to Civ4 for not rolling over and dying completely. It actually tied the match at one point! IIRC Civ4 has actually broken 40% in all of its matches (although it does seem to overperform against stronger competition).
Haha Metroid Prime fell off the board because of HL2's loss. I think that's actually HL2's second worst loss percentage-wise, too, to ad insult to injury.
Yeah what the heck happened to Half-Life 2 in the last two weeks? From weeks 8-18/19 it really seemed to have something going, and it culminated in giving SMRPG the fight of its life. Now it's narrowly avoiding a loss to Chrono Cross and getting killed by Banjo-Kazooie.
Yep, HL2 lost to FFT by five votes, but lost to BK by six. And on a side note, FFT beat Civ4 by only six votes, which may not exactly be motivating for FFT seeing how it's probably the strongest thing Civ4 has faced so far. Actually, let's take a look at Civ4's losses:
24-30 against Kingdom Hearts in week 2 21-29 against Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance in week 4 18-22 against Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal in week 11 (this made me think Civ4 was in the clear for the rest of the contest) 20-24 against Sonic Adventure in week 12 (wtf happened here...needless to say, my hopes were crushed) 22-23 (lost OT 4-7) against Valkyria Chronicles in week 14 (and suddenly some hope came back...) 17-24 against Dragon Quest V in week 16 (what a horrible performance) 17-25 against Fire Emblem 7 in week 17 (okay, looking a little better...) 14-20 against Final Fantasy Tactics in week 21
So I guess Civ4 underperforms against games with more losses than it has, and overperforms against "big dogs"?

For all the flak Half-Life 2 is taking, we have to remember that the one match all contest where it was an obvious underdog, it got 58% (aka against FE7 in week 9). It just seems to have awful performances against games that are flirting with .500.
And...half the top 10 is Mario again, and our #3 is not even in the RPI top 10. Yikes.

To be fair, I actually expected Wind Waker to lose to TWEWY.

On a more serious note, I do kinda believe that LTTP now has some sort of "anti-Mario shield", although whether or not it'll matter in the end is another thing entirely.
That was such a glorious match though, and I can't believe I'm saying that for a Zelda > Mario result (as I said earlier, I'd vote for Mario 3 or either Galaxy over any Zelda title...yet I'd vote for both LTTP and WW over any other Mario title).
Leonhart had better not talk about SM64 being the most overrated game on the board anymore after that "debacle".
