She can also stop time, though anyone she touches will not be affected by the time stop. (5) Red From the Pokémon Special manga, Red is known as "The Fighter", known amongst the Pokédex holders as the most skilled at winning Pokémon duels. He is one of tehe strongest trainers in the world, having defeated several reknowned trainers (The Elite 4, Team Rocket bosses, fellow Pokedex holders). His team of Pokémon is as follows:
Level 88 Pikachu - knows Volt Tackle, the ultimate electric type move, can also generate an energy clone of itself with substitute and attack with long range electric attacks. Level 80 Poliwrath - Able to toss a ~900 lb. Steelix, uses water type moves, but is best at hand to hand combat. Level 82 Venusaur - knows Frenzy Plant, the ultimate grass type move, also skilled at using vinewhip to grab things from a distance and attacking multiple targets using razor leaf. Level 89 Snorlax - manages to stop an out of control bullet train, fights by taking advantage of its massive size and weight with moves like body slam and earthquake. Level 84 Gyarados - fights primarily using ranged attacks like hydro pump and dragonbreath. Level 85 Aerodactyl - Agile flyer, can carry Red and other Pokemon.
Some of Red's better showings include outsmarting the rogue experiment Pokémon Mewtwo and capturing him by bypassing his defenses and critically injuring (though losing to) Deoxys, a powerful opponent he knew next to nothing about.
The Pokemon similar to their game counterparts, having the same type weaknesses (but no immunities) and abilities, similar effects for their moves, and even explicit stats for hp, attack, pp etc. However, Red is not limited to having one Pokemon out at time, and will fight with his entire team of six at once in a serious fight.

Though Homura has the speedblitz advantage I don't think this is as clearcut as the people arguing for her are sure to say it is. Couple important points in Red's favor.
A) He has tanked Deoxys' psychoboost. This is an attack far in excess of anything Homura can bring to the fray if she has her timestop, and potentially better than her winged archery if that form is argued.
B) Pokémon trainers can emulate Pokémon moves, and one shown instance of this is...Mind Reader. I'm sure you can understand the implications of that.
C) If Red gets his Pokémon out this is a curbstomp in his favor. Homura doesn't have the firepower to hbandle machinegun fire from Venasaur, longrange moves from Gyarados, etc. etc. etc. The only question is if he can pull it off.

Homura stops time and kills Red before he can get any Pokemon out. If he starts with Pokemon out, she stops time and then kills Red. She could probably just shoot Red and kill him without stopping time, even.
Homura is certainly more than capable of setting up enough explosives and death and **** to kill Red given a month of time stop to do so, even before he brings out any of his pokemon.

Homura's normal opener is to pause time, fire a lot of bullets at the enemy (which remain frozen in air), then unpause time, at which point all the bullets become unfrozen and strike the target simultaneously. I don't see Red surviving that.
Also, this would occur quickly enough (from the perspective of anyone not Homura) that I wouldn't see his pokemon being able to intercept the bullets to save him, even assuming that he would be able to send one out before her initial time freeze.

Homura destroys Red and his pokemon easily. time stop followed by shooting and bombing the living daylights out of all of 'em. pokemon can enjoy having a grenade in their insides. and her default opener is more than just bullets, hell i'm pretty sure she's done explosions more often than that. from there even half the things she's got stored in her hammerspace would destroy the hell out of everyone else. really isn't any argument for him. witches in Madoka are better than anything Red's got in the first place.

It's specifically described as being more durable than the human body, and the only way it really shatters is by healing the magical girl whose soul it contains to the point where it wastes a lot of energy. Normally this would be about three good fatal blows, if evidence from the Sayaka Vs Kyoko fight is anything to run off of. I'm not sure if the gem is elementally/psychically resistant, but thus far Soul Gems have only been destroyed through massive physical force being applied, despite elemental/projectile attacks being present in the series.
Also, tanking Psycho Boost... doesn't impress me as much as it should. Yes that's incredibly fast and yeah that's more credit than I'd give a normal human. But I'm not arguing in favor of a single rocket; I'm arguing in favor of, hypothetically, hundreds of rockets, plus bullets. Homura has been shown to carry small firearms and an assault rifle as well.
Finally why doesn't she just... like... steal the Pokeballs during a time freeze? There's probably a feat from Red I'm missing that makes this impossible, just curious.

Oh, I didn't include the following scan, did I? It shows the whole are devastated by the attack. Sorry. Psychoboost is kind of a huge deal. Attack Form Deoxys is a godkiller, as he has some mean feats in the manga.

red can go enjoy his eyes having bullets in 'em. or mouth. or a billion other things. there really just isn't anything he can actually do there. still, the gem's got some weird durability to it in. sure a building or two can literally fall on you (and it) but that doesn't do squat, but if one of the magical girls went after it somehow that worked. and never made a lick of sense. go fig. pretty much is the only time you ever see them break is when another magical girl blasts 'em. everything else, from witches (who know the weakness in the first place) to high impact to what should be an absurd amount of force just from the recoil or side effects alone (universe destroying has to have some nice backlash or splash to it) did squat. never made any sense how all that went down. just that gems just get busted by other magical girls somehow.

Yeah Red, you had a good first match and he as the output to win this match, but he doesn't have much of a shot against this time freeze hax. Homura
Also, it's hard to take that feat and use it to argue "OMG super Red durability". Sure the attack can be seen hitting for a little bit, but his Pokemon are clearly absorbing most of the damage for him unless you want to believe that Red is more durable than his Pokemon. So still impressive, but not really amazing, if Homura opens with a time freeze barrage, he's not getting any of his pokemon out, and he's not surviving.
... aside from the fact that Homura can just do it again.
Actually, question. If Red gets his Pokemon out, does Homu need to beat just Red, or all of the Pokemon? I forgot the ruling from Red's last match.
There was no ruling. I personally think she'd have to beat all the pokes too, but that's just me.
