- No fatties. Unless you bring cake. - Choose a song, provide a link (no direct downloads, please), and do both of these in a timely manner. - You have to rate, rank, and comment on every song chosen by another member. It doesn't matter how eloquent your reviews are, we won't judge. Just get 'em in! It's a nice exercise. - Have your reviews in by the end of our week. Refusal to do so will result in suspensions and expulsions. - Have fun! This is just a silly thing we do for a few months, no need to take offense, or insult anybody for any reason. Except Carl. Have at him.
~Tha Crew~ Carl KCF Cokes Whakko Bartz Not Dave JC Vince WingedInsignia YOU?!
Yeah, we're at 9. I'd like to keep it at 10 if possible. Not Dave still has to rank but is excused because of iPad problems or something? If he gets it done by the end of the week it's fine by me.
My song: Mumford & Sons ft. Johnny Flynn - Banjolin Song (live)
It's actually two songs but you can end it at around 3 mins in or something if you want to. This version of Awake My Soul is pretty swell too though.
1. Jay-Z - Say Hello Fantastic song from what is possibly my favorite album from Jay-Z
2. Andy Grammer ~ Keep Your Head Up Hey, I recognize the song but not the artist! Very catchy pop song and this should pull you out of the basement Carl!
3. Beatrice Eli - The Conqueror Beautiful voice but the music accompanying didn't always mesh well with it
4. Mumford & Sons ft. Johnny Flynn - Banjolin Song (live) I completely forgot about it being two songs and listened to both. Luckily, the better song is the one that I am supposed to base my rank around
5. µ-Ziq - Brace Yourself Jason Not quite as "all over the place" as the Ulver song, but it was greater than the sum of its parts
6. UK - Mental Medication Woah, I wasn't expecting a vocal song from Mycro. However, the non-vocal aspect does seem very Micro-esque
7. Panda Riot - Like Flowers At Night Drowning out the vocals/whatever the technical term is called, to me, is much easier to pull off with male vocals
8. Ulver - Porn Piece Or The Scars Of Cold Kisses That was certainly bizarre to say the least and though I felt differently about different time ranges of the song, it was mostly sub-par to me
9. ExtremeMusic - Glorious Vocal style is something I heard plenty of times before and it has never been my cup of tea. That didn't change after this song

"Anybody interested in grabbing a couple of burgers and hittin' the cemetery?" -Royal "Oh sure, walk to the sun"- Guybrush
Mumford & Sons ft. Johnny Flynn - Banjolin Song (live) - Mumford & Sons would be much better band if the banjo had never been invented. "Awake My Soul" was better. 7/10 Beatrice Eli - The Conqueror - Didn't dig the vocals. 6/10 Q Lazzarus - Goodbye Horses - Makes me want to tuck my penis between my thighs and dance. 6.5/10 Ulver - Porn Piece Or The Scars Of Cold Kisses - No thank you. 4/10 UK - Mental Medication - Bad prog is my favorite. 2/10 Andy Grammer ~ Keep Your Head Up - Just kidding. Male pop vocals are my favorite. 2/10 ExtremeMusic - Glorious - Why would you post the bad theme song to a bad tv show? 2/10 µ-Ziq - Brace Yourself Jason - This isn't amazing or anything but based on this week? 6.5/10 Panda Riot - Like Flowers At Night - This was p. okay. 6/10
