And I have only seen the animated movie once so I will definitely watch that again. But I can't decide if I should even watch two and three. Two is very "fun" but the lack of Casey Jones and the whole darker feel of the first one makes it like 6.5/10 for me. The first was11/10. God tier. If you're more willing to delve, Savage Dragon is one of the best ever, currently 176 issues in, all written and drawn by one dude. There have been a few little jokes, but for the most part they've been all business. I'm hoping now that they're all reunited, there will be more fun and pizza eating. There's still something bigger missing though. What part of the Turtles is as much a character than the main cast themselves? THE CITY! Throughout the old comics, toon, and movies, the city was a huge part of it! They were living in city sewers and hanging out with the city reporter. Reading those old comics, the gritty city around them is a HUGE part of the charm. I don't mind the origin story changing and April being a scientist, but not at the expense of them being in the city.
