I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's referring to a few flashes where the composer for the original music got into a dispute with Hussie and his songs had to be removed from Homestuck and the albums. Then it was replaced with other music. Off the top of my head, the "big" ones were [S] Midnight Crew, [S] Retrieve Package, Round 3 of Dave vs. Bro, and both of Jade's bass solos.
I'm pretty sure you can find a link to those tracks under the sound page on the wiki. Some of it was pretty cool. Some of it...was not (Dave vs. Bro R3).
I actually really like Mutiny (the old Retrieve Package song). It also gives a more upbeat, kinetic, sort of playful feel while the new song (Unbreakable Union I think?) gives a much more mysterious and otherworldly feel. Given what we know now and where the plot went, the latter fits a lot better thematically. Plus Mutiny has to loop, that's no good!
Round 3 was greatly improved by Radiation's replacement song. The old one didn't sync well and didn't even sound like a Dave song, thematically. <_<

Yeah I just read that about Kid Radd. That's kind of neat, since Kid Radd is the only non-MSPA work I can think of that's even remotely like Homestuck.
kid radd was like...the most webcomicist webcomic before mspa was a thing.
it is basically the story about a mega man like game sprite that escapes his game and gets in to wacky hijinks in the world outside his game because of unique game properties like hit detection and such. also ends up with some earthbound influences too...
all in all, a pretty short webcomic that has a nice cast. you could read it in a night or two.

tereziWright posted... "Musicians can make suitable tracks after it is finished and posted, and I can go back and "retcon" it in. And I HAVE done this before!!! But I don't know if I want to make it a policy."
When was this?
To add to the cut music thing, there have also been cases of flashes that started out with no music, and had music added afterward.
For example, that flash didn't have any music at the beginning, but Mark Hadley made a track for it after it was posted and Andrew liked it enough to add it in.

It took about as long as flashes tend to take (and there was that christmas thing or something), showed us plenty of future events that may or may not become significant, and music is subjective...i felt it did a good enough job. Not my favoritest track from volume 8 but it is ok.

Oh, now I understand what's going on in the flash - Jane is seeing future events on Prospit. Makes more sense now. I thought we were just kind of randomly jumping ahead.

To me that implies that Alpha Earth will be invaded before they actually enter the game. Assuming they ever truly get around to doing that, which they weren't really shown as doing here.

I had a dream recently that Hussie announced Homestuck action figures would be available within a week. It was one of those dreams that stuck with me as being real. I wish it really was. :(
