I want to say I heard that the Colts still have the edge barely because they still have the weakest strength of schedule. But it's only by about 3 games, IIRC.

However, I didn't do any looking into it on my own, so I'm not positive.

I think the Rams have stronger SoS then Indy. They have NFC East, Green Bay, NFC Westx2, AFC north and New Orleans. They might have the hardest SoS period. AFC north has 3 quality teams, NFC West this year has 3 quality teams, then GB and New Orleans... Cowboys and Giants help too.

Two things:

1. In a season where the NFL has apologized to the Texans twice for exceptionally poorly officiated games, this one easily took the cake.

2. Defensive End JJ Watt had 3 passes defensed and two tackles for loss. If the NFL ever allows him to touch a quarterback he will be all-pro.

by losing, Houston might have prevented the Colts from drafting Luck, and they probably won't lose much because they already locked up the division and their bye chances weren't that great

Oh, and Yates completed 81% of his passes for 8.1 yards per attempt, and yet Foster had more yards on the ground than Yates did through the air. Maybe you should uhh...let him throw the ball a bit more, Kubiak. Just a crazy thought I had.

Well, I'm just speaking in jest.

But the Rams actually have a good shot at this point since they don't really have any realistically winnable games left: 49ers and Steelers. Colts have the Jags, a winnable game. Vikings have the Redskins and the Bears, both winnable games.

Manning is a terrible quarterbacks coach. They keep him away from other QBs on the team because he'd just confuse them. He's so much smarter than any other QB that he can't effectively communicate what he knows. It's absurd.

I think the Vikings take Luck if they have a chance, Ponder sucked at Flordia State, and he is gonna suck in the pros.

But, leave it to the Vikings to take the worst QB in the draft one year, and then pass on the best QB in the draft the next.

The Rams CAN'T take Luck....don't they still owe Bradford like 1 bajillion dollars?

I dunno Gabbert has been sacked like 40 times this year. Ponder has a real good O-line in front of him, I mean they block for AP so they can't be all bad.

I just think Ponder has the better team, but we'll see. I am always gonna hate on Ponder.

I've seen Gabbert in a couple games and he just looks terrified out there. He is afraid to take a hit, and won't look downfield if he doesn't have a perfectly clean pocket. You will never succeed in the NFL if you can't throw under pressure.

And Maurice Jones Drew has been just as successful, if not more so, than AP this year. Though, as the Texans o-line demonstrated tonight, proficiency in run blocking does not necessarily translate to proficiency in pass blocking.

As someone who has watched every game that Ponder has played thus far. Ponder has been fine. Minnesota could use a different O. Cord (In a BAD way. They easily have the worst playcalling in the league.) But Ponder himself seems like a good QB. I'd still get the LT if I was the Vikings. Bradford seems like he is leaning towards being a bust right now but I'd blame that on McDaniels really. Also they can't grab Luck without dealing with Bradford's massive contract. Even then. The Rams have almost no playmakers and their Defense is pretty weak currently with a couple bright spots.

Minnesota's pass blocking is terrible. Their run blocking isn't THAT great either. AP is just an insane beast. The backup is also pretty good.

alright, found a blog post from a few days ago about the strength of schedule TB - Rams are basically out of it in case of a tie, but the Vikings have a shot at "overtaking" the Colts

the following teams winning helps the Colts: Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Arizona, Washington, Denver, Oakland, San Diego

the following teams winning helps the Vikings: Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New England

at the moment the Colts' opponents (including their Week 17 opponent) are 120-104, while the Vikings are at 127-97

if the current week goes about as expected, those numbers will stay about the same, so the Vikings would need to make up 7 games in the final week

Colts could just trade up for Luck I guess ... if the Rams take #1, they'll trade it away.
If its the Vikings then you guys are screwed. Ponder will get dropped like a hot potato.

Still, if Dan The Man had been starting since Week 1, the Colts could be a 5-6 win team >_>

One can only hope, but Sanchez does look pretty subpar. Eli looks worse but it's because Nicks forgot how to catch.

But we can't do anything as of yet vs the rush... nor can we do anything on offense.

For now all we can do is play good D, stop em from scoring, and we'll score when we get a dece opportunity.
