We still have plenty of time, but I would like everyone to check in this topic and answer the following questions.
1)Leave an e-mail address that you hopefully check, I'll need this for inviting you to the leagues
2)Which site would you prefer we use? Yahoo, ESPN, other, or go sport by sport and choose?
3)Which fantasy games would like added to the following? We are for sure playing NFL,MLB,NHL,NBA,NCAAF bowls,NCAAB tourney, and something soccer related. I would like to add 3 to give us 10, but would at least like to add 1. Also give your opinion on doing something for the Olympics
4)For the soccer event, would you rather play fantasy EPL, or a contest involving EURO 2012, or possibly both?
5)Scoring system- Straight scoring (12 for 1st, 11 for 2nd, 10 for 3rd, etc.) or scaled(we'll vote on how exactly to do it but something along the lines of 15 for 1st, 13 for 2nd, 12 for 3rd, 10 for 4th, 8 for 5th, and then straight scoring the rest of the way down)?
2. Choosing by sport would be nice but I'm open to whatever people choose.
3. Something based on the Olympics would be nice. I'm not sure what it would be, maybe some site will have a way of predicting the top countries in medal count or something.
4. Just one. I liked fantasy EPL even though it was a long season.
5. Scaled scoring.

since we're in direct competition with everyone throughout the entire year, maybe skip H2H and have all leagues just be total points finishes?
I know H2H is more fun for an individual, single league - but when I'm neck and neck with DFF all year, and then lose my last H2H match to last place Tombolo while outscoring DFF that week....

3) I don't have any original ideas, but Olympics should be a must. I like Pick 'Em more than suicide, as it leads to less potential downtime. Either would work for me, though.
4) Probably EPL, since leagues are more my jam, but I guess ultimately I don't have a preference since I don't know soccer.
5) Straight, but that probably doesn't really matter since scaled seems to be the favorite.

I usually use ESPN, but I really have no preference.

Olympics would be awesome. Something like, guessing which countries place where in terms of overall medals? I think individual events would be very difficult to do for 90% of the events. Other events.. hmm... maybe guessing the ending player ranking for golf after the PGA tour? Guessing who wins a tennis major? I don't know, those are a little difficult.

Hmm... no real opinion on this, soccer is not my forte. Leaning fantasy EPL, but possibly both.

Scaled would make it more even throughout the season imo.
3) Those are all the sports I follow, but if you want to add any others go ahead. I guess a fantasy football playoff challenge would be kind of fun; I've done those before but then you risk this becoming too football centric.

2) Yahoo wins pretty easily, we shall be using it for most things
3) Gonna add some sort of Olympics, and Tennis. A few people suggested suicide for NFL, maybe there's a way to expand that to other sports
4) Everyone agrees there should just be 1, but its split on which 1 to do
5) Scaled it shall be, will figure out the exact scale soon
If anyone has an idea for how exactly the scaled scoring should work, post it here, or if you just like my suggested scale say that.
Gonna bump this topic for a couple more days, and then will make the first discussion topic where we'll talk about what rules we want for the baseball league
MMA pick 'em could be a year-long thing. For each major PPV (ie UFC 1##), just have us pick the main card. I don't know if you'd want to use lines or straight up, though. Straight up would probably be easiest, just need to figure out what to do in case of a tie at the end.
