I-Exaggerating the findings of a study or only emphasize certain aspects of the study while overlooking others.
II- Minimizing the details of the study and oversimplifying the results.
III-Using an "expert" who is not only not an expert on the topic, but also biased.

That's less effective outside of the States. (though you're more likely to find one if it's talking about climate change) Like, I remember when the liberation therapy for MS thing broke and every news agency here was like "even the report people are citing and the guy that wrote it are saying it's pretty wishy-washy and notes the correlation is pretty weak though it does merit exploration".
