Thanks for the kind words, TRE! Tightening the script is going to be one of my two main goals with its next revision (the other's making Anna a more consistent character).

Tag to watch after work. It sounds like this project has SERIOUSLY taken off. Congratulations are in order; I know this hasn't been a fast or easy process. What's the next step, HaRRicH? I've been lurking, and the last thing I read was that yours was one of three scripts that might make it to a production company. Is that still the case? The reaction sounds really encouraging either way. Has anyone been acting as an agent for you, letting you know realistic chances and time tables here for making this happen? Or is it too early to start talking profit?

It sounds like you had last heard of the play about this time last year in TSC's same New Play Festival; ONLINE FIGHTING was one of three plays selected for a table-reading (actors reading the script around a table). Since then, the script has been reformatted for more proper future submissions, copyrighted, revised, and was the only play to be brought back to this year's New Play Festival as a stage-reading (actors still have scripts, but they're on their feet and have basic design-elements).
All that is about the two-act version of the play, but the original piece (basically OF's first scene) also got its first full production in September; I co-directed and performed in it for the second half of a fighting showcase hosted by the Wild Thyme Players. You can see that here:
As for the future...well, I don't know, but I have some goals. I found out I can be published while maintaining my eligibility for new play festivals, so future research in that regard's coming -- while a big-name publisher would be nice, the idea of self-publication is enticing too. TSC's interested in the idea of bringing OF back to headline next year's New Play Festival, though that is certainly not guaranteed. They did like my idea of trying to find a way to collaborate with the charity Child's Play and/or major game companies who would be cool enough to support a play about gaming, but I also don't know how to successfully do either of those yet. They've requested another draft this spring, so my goal's to give them one by the end of March. I'm moving to NYC in the summer too, so maybe there's a chance OF can be done there...though I'd rather the play fully debut here where it was created. Profit for playwriting's been non-existent so far (theatre isn't known for its good pay!), though I've got high-apple-pie hopes that those tides are about to turn.
Thank you for the kudos -- the future about this once scared me, but now it's become exciting. =)

Is there an easy/recommended way to have one video lead directly into the next on YouTube? I think I can make the link appear directly on the screen at the end of Act One that'll lead to Act Two, but hopefully there's a better way I haven't figured out yet. On-screen links like those are fugly.

Oh, a big machine with flashy lights. A big machine like that has me written all over it. Well, okay, it doesn't. But give me time... and a crayon --11th Doctor
