just a few more years and they'll catch up to that run the Pens had of five top-five picks in five years. the Islanders have a one-year headstart on that, though.

Red Wings last 137 power play attempts: 15 power play goals, 10 shorthanded goals allowed

In the past 8 games, the power play has allowed 4 shorthanders while scoring once.

I am so angry at how awful their special teams have been.

As Board 8's resident Nashville booster it will be great if they can grab Radulov for the playoffs. As with every year, if the Avs don't make the playoffs then I'm fully on the Nashville bandwagon. Good to see them making the playoffs again...despite year after year hearing multiple reasons stating why this is the year they won't make it.

The fact that Trotz hasn't won the Adams yet is ridiculous.

Winning the Adams requires one of two things:

1. Dominating the league (President's trophy)
2. Taking a team that was really crappy and making them good

There's no award for consistently doing pretty well despite all expectations otherwise. If Trotz ever wants to win, he has to have a really bad year, then come back the next year and do what he does every year and be decent.

Oh my god what an amazing game yesterday! Avs tying it with 2 seconds left then winning in the shootout, so awesome! I have a bad feeling we will lose tonight though.

I find the schedule terrible. We've played the most games in the league so far, yet we still get a jam packed month of March before getting 5 days off in a row in April. Ridiculous.

Not really. With Crosby out I haven't really hated them as much. They've been off my radar most of the year, and as you recall, I DID pick them to win the East before this streak even started, and I do enjoy being correct! What's my alternative exactly? To cheer for the Rangers? The Flyers? Not much better options!
