I went to Hard to try it out but then I went into those Catacombs in the child story and the ghost bats's defense made the battle take like....two minutes to complete.

Looking at his stats he has higher P. Attack than Asbel right now, but he is two levels higher. I was thinking about maining the guy too! Lame.
Asbel is pretty weird. Man, this has to be like one of the best battle systems ever, soooo addicting. And I'm even starting to maybe-kinda get a handle on weapon qualities! Not that I know what any of them do, of course.
Also, bosses on hard make me wish I had more all-divides.
