I chose Michel for my current playthrough since I had Chakwas on my first one. I can't really decide who I like better, doesn't really matter. Chakwas wants to be on the Normandy though, Michel doesn't. At the same time, I like the latter because of her accent. So really it's difficult to choose.

My only character so far (since I was originally saving mp til after I beat the game) is a level 11 human soldier, with most points having gone to concussive shot.

That ME2 scenario board is saying that to have Jack and Samara live, you need Garrus and Thane loyal, as well. Why is that? Couldn't I have them both unloyal and still die?

I wander what Grissom Academy is like if Jack didn't survive the Suicide Mission, anyone know?

Maybe this is just me being greedy, but I wish they would have had more action scenes in the game. Like Grunt fighting Ravagers, Thane fighting Kai Leng, stuff like that was really awesome. The short space battles they had were also pretty great. I just wish they had more. Especially near the end. Show some of the krogan and turians joining forces. Show the quarian fleet take down a Reaper maybe, with some geth support? Something. Overall we still had more than ME2 when it came to CGI action scenes. But still. I think with this being the last game they really should have just gone all out with the action. Normandy getting the final shot on a Reaper would have been really cool. And it would have shown us what the hell it was even doing in that last part of the game.

It's something to do with the way the hold the line segment works, I think. Even if everyone is unloyal there, some of them might survive depending on the circumstances. It's not as simple as "have only the two people I want to survive loyal".

Looking at the post you're referring to I think they're saying to do those loyalty missions in order to get most of the upgrades and still have only Jack and Samara alive.

If you don't care about upgrades then I'd think not doing the loyalty missions would work.

A little? There's nothing gay about that exchange at all.

Heck, he doesn't even really hit on you unless you actively pursue him.

He mentions his husband offhand early on and that's about it. If it was a straight dude mentioning his wife and trying to get over her death nobody would bat an eye. It's actually refreshing to see that in the ME universe, being gay isn't something that you have to hide. Nobody cares that he's gay and it's something he can talk about without having to use a euphemism like "partner".

I mean, why did he survive this time? He died in my first file, this time he apparently didn't, I guess? It was still the same situation, he gets shots down. I guess I did talk to him a bit more in this file than the last, maybe that had something to do with it. Still kinda lame. I also didn't have a romance in this file. Which is what made me think it's gay that he's hanging onto life for Shepard.

Uh no, Tali is the best.

Adding on to my earlier post about more action, just imagine how cool it would be to see Wrex and Garrus in cover, nod to each other, and then vault over their cover and take on some husks and stuff together. Brothers to the end! And Kasumi hacking her way through something, Zaeed being badass, Tali and the quarians doing stuff, Grunt and some other krogan being badass, You know. Just, give us some more scenes of our previous squadmates and stuff. It wouldn't have been THAT difficult.

No see I agree. I don't care if they actually used a real life model or what, the fact is they only supplied us with a photo and that was it. I wanted to see her. See her for real. This is what I meant by committing. You could say that about a few other aspects of the game, lack of commitment. You can't please everyone, obviously, but if you actually grow some balls and do what you THINK is the best, then we'll at least respect you for it. When you cop-out like you did with Tali's face and... the ending, we will criticize the f*** out of you.
