There is. The Old Republic confirms she is, indeed, a woman.
He was a man every time I played KotOR 2.

It just angers me that they would even try to add a "canon" option. I know it's technically part of a way bigger universe, but it's not like it matters all that much to the Star Wars EU either way.

It's largely pointless to get angry over it because it's for the sake of storytelling more than for solidifying a gender for Revan and the Exile. Leaving them ambiguous wouldn't really do much, especially since they do seem to play a major role in TOR.

Remember, this was the days before you could carry over a save. Literally just asked you some questions at the beginning of the game and said "good enough."

Poll should have incorporated whether or not voters have played the game.

I suppose "No, they shouldn't cave in to the fans' demands" should have been replaced with "I don't care, I haven't played the game" if Bacon still wanted to keep the poll at 5 options.

Seriously because most of the people choosing that option pretty much most likely haven't played the game and witnessed the travesty as the actual fans have.

Really, I've seen people say the ending isn't that bad, but I have not seen anyone say that they were actually pleased with it. I just don't understand how it could be f***ed up that bad.

Even the ending to the Hunger Games trilogy wasn't as bad as this. And I was really really f***ing mad at that ending.

So what happens in ME3 if Tali was exiled? I'll never find out for myself but I'd like to know.

Not much besides the dialogue. The other admirals bring her back in secrecy because of her geth expertise and say they might reverse her exile if they win the war.

I wasn't even standing near them, I was by the door. So the whole bar could hear what they were talking about.

But like. Yeah. Quarians have "nerve-stimulators".

How did you miss the nerve stimulators? They're mentioned multiple times in Tali's files in LotSB. She repeatedly installs and uninstalls them and reads books about human courtship.

And you've never seen the Valley Girl Quarian/Friendzone Turian conversation?

Please tell me you've at least listened to the entire bachelor party going on nearby.

So, Halo's post had me thinking, what are your favorite random NPC conversations in ME2 and ME3?

ME2

1. Bachelor party
2. Valley girl quarian/Friendzone turian
3. Refund guy

ME3

1. PTSD asari in the hospital
2. Teenage human and C-Sec turian at the docks
3. Random French dude and batarian at the docks

ME2 had more funny stuff, ME3 had more heartwarming and sad stuff.

I still love the way the French dude doesn't shut up and the batarian eventually warms up to him. Good stuff.

As I said I never really paid as much attention to outside dialogue because... I'm crazy. Then ME3 showed me how important it is to the overall experience so I'm soaking up more of it now in ME2.

And I did read the LotSB files, but I skimmed through some of them. I guess, before, it didn't really click for me what it meant by nerve-stimulator... >_>

Refund guy is on the Citadel outside of the warehouse you go into to talk to "Fade" for Garrus' loyalty, IIRC. Right next to the Tupari machine. His is funny simply because it's a saga across all three games.

There's the turian right at C-Sec customs that keeps calling the customs chick racist. And a whole lot more that I can't think of because I mostly remember the ME3 ones right now.

ME3 is cool because the conversations have multiple parts and you can hear something new as long as you check the people out everytime you come back. Of course you could just go to a different floor and come back repeatedly to hear the full convo, too, but that's no fun.

The thing is, we haven't seen any proof that the VI could detect simple traces of indoctrination. Kai Leng was in deep and had willingly had Reaper tech installed, so of course it could detect him.

Then again it's entirely possible this is all simply plotholes Bioware missed and there's nothing more to it. We'll find out in April, I guess.

That video was very well made. And even though I pretty much thought/read about everything that was covered, it still brought my attention to some things I wasn't aware of. Like the shrubs and trees after being hit by the laser. That's pretty amazing, actually.

Honestly it's pretty much assured that the ending was just indoctrination. I always figured Shepard must have had some hint of it anyway with all the time he's spent around Reaper crap, especially Object Rho.

From: futuresuperstar | #375

As the video said, VIs aren't infallible. It's possible it couldn't detect the indoctrination in Shepard because it was still developing or contained enough that the VI didn't notice it.

Also, wasn't Cerberus Ninja Boy already indoctrinated, so while the prothean may have not noticed your minor indoctrination, it was more about making the player ignore the fact that shepard was indoced and it was just ninjaboy.

Except the player can't ignore what they don't know. Even now we don't actually have strict confirmation from bioware that Shep was indeed indoctrinated.

And when the VI insinuates that Kai Leng is indoctrinated, that should have been a bit more of a revelation to confirm that the Illusive Man probably was as well. It was kinda brushed off though. Maybe it wasn't really meant to be that much of a surprise and I was just making a bigger deal out of it than necessary.

For ME3, anything listed as Priority is a required mission. Everything else is skippable.

Technically, you can beat ME2 without recruiting everyone, but you'd have to do a few side missions to make that happen.

SPOILERS

I thought after the combined events of ME1 and 2, their motivation can be (at least partially) attributable to simple self-preservation and the future of their own species. Sovereign was destroyed. ME2 showed the remains of a long-dead Reaper. They're not immortal, and as far as we know, organic harvesting on a monumental scale is required to create new Reapers. I believe some theories argue that an entire organic species is needed to harvest one Sovereign/Harbinger-class dreadnought. Even if each can live for millions of years, they can theoretically only be created a couple at a time every ~50,000 years.

I would have been fine with self-preservation.

Other than that they could have pulled an Anti-Spiral and claimed that after a certain point, sentient life would destroy the galaxy/universe somehow. Derivative, but it fits nicely with the "salvation through destruction" motif that was presented in earlier games without being dumb. Also wouldn't have minded that.
