Aside from the obvious benefits of the sleep option, it's also essentially adding years to your life.
And that's not even factoring in how it's cancelling out any reduction in your lifespan your current crappy sleep habits may be causing.

Would sleep really add years to your life?

6 hour of sleep has the same effect as 9 hours of sleep, so doesn't that also mean your body has aged 9 hours in a 6 hours span as well?

If anything, you would just be going through life slightly faster than everyone else.

I'll take #2, losing fat is easy, but gaining pure muscle mass takes a long time.

Does everyone else have the choice of these passive bonuses, or just me? If I can sleep from 11-5 and have it feel like I slept until 8 that's super unless I'm the only one awake. Who cares about the hours of the day when you're totally isolated from the rest of the world? Those may as well not count.

It's starting to look like fast learning may be a winner if I'm the only one who can get a bonus. After a certain point, intelligence in terms of my-brain-can-beat-up-your-brain doesn't really matter. But the faster you can learn, the faster you can do pretty much anything. You can go to a new city and spend less time being lost. You can get promoted more quickly at work. You can remember people's names and faces and interests better, which is a huge social benefit. Learning more quickly isn't just about school. It helps everywhere and may be the actual best choice.

.

Because sleeping from 11-5 would be the logical thing to do

like 2-8 isn't acceptable or something

Sleep

"Not enough sleep" and "not enough time in the day" are the causes of damn near all my problems.

Are you actually trying to suggest that our lifespans are determined by only the number of hours we spend awake? Damn, guys, I'm gonna go hibernate until something relevant to my life is gonna happen!

Sleep. The 2nd/3rd I'm not into (smoker, lol). And I think my IQ is high enough to achieve my goals. I do sleep 10 hours a day, tho (bum thyroid). So that would help a lot.

I wasn't saying that at all. In a 24 hour day, you sleep 6 hours but your body is effected like you have slept 9 hours. So your body has ages 9 hours in a span of 6 hours. You stay awake for 18 hours. Well in that 24 hour span, your body had aged 27 hours.

I guess it also matters what you plan to do with those "extra" three hours a day. More anime? More time on b8? More time to read? More time to study?

I dunno, I feel like the sleeping power simply benefits people who just have horrible sleeping habits (I would be one of them). When say if better IQ someone is more likely to not only think about ways to make sleep more efficient, but would actually take action to do it(ie: learning optimal sleep cycles, knowing time management, etc).

Maybe it's just me, meh
