Someone clearly never watched Jack vs Aku.

That episode singlehandedly brings Jack up to an incredible degree. Only episode where Jack and Aku have a steady back-and-forth, and it's incredible how the two play off each other. Some of Mako's best voice work as well, and that's saying a damn lot.

But yes, Courage high or joke list, even with the massive Time Squad respect.

5. Sheep in the Big City (2000-2002)

Poo on you people saying that this doesn't belong in the top 5. This is a great show and not only is it my 5th favorite Cartoon Cartoon, but I'd venture to say it's probably in my top 15 or so animated series of all time. With its terrible puns, corny jokes, and enough outside references to compete with Family Guy, Sheep is just too damn charming to put it any lower. With its multi-chapter stories, numerous sideshows and interruptions, a narrator who interacts with the story/characters, and a villain who wants to capture an animal for a ridiculous reason (seriously, who makes a f***ing sheep-powered ray gun?), this show is very reminiscent of Rocky and Bullwinkle, another show that I hold dear to my heart. I will say this much against Sheep, however. More than any other Cartoon Cartoon, probably even Cow and Chicken, I'd say this one would have fit more at home in Adult Swim rather than Cartoon Cartoons. If they had done that, then they really could have just let everything fly loose, like I know Mo Willems could probably do. By the way, CN, this seriously needs a DVD release. Like, I'd pay a lot for it.

Best Character: The Ranting Swede

I know he isn't a part of the main story and is just a sideshow at the end of each episode, but he cracks me up so much that I couldn't fathom giving this to anyone else. If I had to pick somebody from the actual story, it would probably be General Specific.

Worst Character: Lisa Rental

Annoying little girl characters are hit-or-miss with me, and this one just takes the cake for being insanely intolerable.

Well this would be either Muriel or Bonnie. Muriel is a citizen right. Well Johnny Bravo or Courage falls here, since the three most prominent characters in TS and EEnE are all male. I'll guess Johnny Bravo.

4. Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999-2002)

If I were to rank all of the Cartoon Cartoons by certain qualities, this would end up around the lower-middle of a lot of them, including funniness and character quality. So why is it ranked at #4? Above Dexter? Above Jack? Above PPG? Because it's quite possibly the most creative cartoon ever made. It's seriously just so damn bizarre that it's impossible not to love. They took what could have easily been a boring, generic premise and made something magical out of it. Every new villain is more surreal and bizarre than the one before, and they have a certain way about them that really just sticks with you. Who could forget LeQuack? Or Katz? Or the sand whale? Or Di Lung? Or Velvet Vic? Or the Adorable Little Duckling? The strange things that happen to Muriel (and then to Eustace at the end of the episode) are above and beyond what is expected in this type of show (I mean, getting trapped in a record?). This was a serious contender for the top three, but ultimately lost out due to it's weak characters.

Best Character: The Computer

Courage's smart-ass computer has a ton of great one-liners and is really the one who constantly saves the day.

Worst Character: Muriel

Doesn't really deserve it, and I really don't mind her, but somebody had to get it, and there were really only three choices left after I picked Computer, and she's easily the weakest of them.
